Debtor Advocate/Mitigation Specialist/Mediator
I am a Debtor Advocate and Mediator. I negotiate resolutions to foreclosures, creditor lawsuits, garnishments and repossessions. I have a small company with 7 employees and consider this my calling in life. I was a loan officer and collector for 22 of the last 27 years and got tired of putting people in debt and hounding them for money. This is not an advertisement. I just like to help.

What do you do for a living?
I'm a jeweler/gemologist with 20 years in the business.
Diamond setter,(gold caster making the jewelry from wax to gold),custom designer.Store owner for 10 year and worked out of my residence for 10 years.
I buy and sell Gold,Diamonds and Gemstones when I can.
What am I doing here ?
I closed my store in Nov,05 with 911 and my small community my business just died.
My wife has chronic illnesses but she is getting better.
My Mom has declinging health for years and now is bed ridden and she consumes a large amount of my time and resources.
I can't really advertise and bring people into my home, and cant afford a new location ,so I'm maxed out on my credit cards.
And with very little income
I am here.
This is what I do for a living.

I work with prosecutors....I can't be any more specific than that because I'm the only person in my company with this job title, and my company is the only one like it in the country.
Part-time I work from home on my computer. If I didn't have anything to worry about, I would worry about that...

I actually work at several different jobs that vary quite a bit... construction/remodeling, landscaping/lawncare, hauling/moving services, and janitorial services.
Construction/remodeling jobs are falling off sharply right now, probably a sign that the economy is begining to feel the pinch from the housing bubble bursting. But the rest of them are still going strong for now.
They're all temp jobs, which are great for me because they give me huge amounts of time off to go on vacations to see relatives up in Oregon and Washington. The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.
