Amazing how many commercial pilots have ended up in the bankruptcy courts. When Eastern went under and took the pension money with it, the guys were lined up down in Miami at the Court House (but in Forida, you have the unlimited homestead exemption, for a little solace on the wound).

I'm a computer programmer, specializing in artificial intelligence software. For the past decade I mostly worked for a defense contractor, but they're about to run out of money. (Ironically, given our bankruptcy, they're also planning to have me take over their book-keeping and payroll as of Jan 1, having had to make the office manager redundant.)
My wife's unemployed, partly due to medical issues. She is trying to get into video editing and will soon be getting her first "assistant editor" credit on an indie short.
