    1099A/C Question

i haven't received anything from my lender regarding my 1099A/C
my question. Who should i ask to get it. my old lender the one whom i pay the mortgage to?
or the bank that baught my house?

I no longer live there. and house is already sold almost a month ago.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

I imagine that you will not receive any documentation until tax time next year since it's a 2012 event. So when you go to file taxes next year, you'll probably receive those forms. Make sure you consult tax law as well; if this is a primary residence you may not have to include any of the amount that was forgiven or written off as income on your taxes. I gathered that from this little blip on the IRS website.

If you were to get anything, it most likely won't be until tax time, especially for the 1099-C.

For the 1099-A, that usually comes some point after the foreclosure sale has been fully processed (which apparently takes the banks months for some reason). It will really just depend on the lenders internal policy.
