A large portion of the people banned where most likely spammers. The practice of banning members isn't very rigid on this forum unlike many other forums where moderators would seemingly permanently ban members for little or no reason. Much of this probably has to due with the the forums demographics creating a relatively civilized culture.

However, in retrospect, I remember a few incidents were a member(s) should've been banned permanently due to their behavior but I instead decided to let them "cool off" without incident.

Ditto to all! I really love this forum. There's a particular sport forum, which I won't name, that allows racist rants and terrible name-callings. I stopped posting because it was so dreadful, and the moderators did nothing, plus the caliber of people were nothing compared to here. We have some seriously decent folks in this forum. Keep up the good work, moderators!

this is most certainly a "special" place.

although a bk forum, it's nice for many to have a place to go to talk about everything from politics to pets without being bounced on. (most of the time ).

i have never come across such a great group of people as this forum!

I too have only found one other forum like this one. DH & I were into saltwater reef/coral tanks... Well they have a forum for that, a huge huge one, but they have a lounge section that has a group of folks from all over the country that have become friends since 1999, have even drove to meet each other and are some of the nicest folks i have virtually ever met..BUT i will say they will ban you in a flat hot second so you just have to mind your peas and queue's...but it's a great one like this one.

Just thought i would echo same sentiments - this is a great group of folks too.
