Finally whent eh doors opened the mad rush when through the store. When I got to the computer section i asked for the laptop and he said they're all gone.. Then told me that "this" store only got 2 of those.. Same for all big ticket items. They only had a couple of each Door buster items.

Haven't gone out shopping on the day after since.. I'd rather just browse the net and find good deals.. have them shipped to me.

As for this pepper spray lady.. karma is a ***** and she'll get hers one day.
    I feel the same way.

At best you might save a small percentage off the regular price by taking part in these horrible sales, but is it really worth it?

    Not in my opinion.

If the small amount of savings is going to make or break you, you really shouldn't be buying anything at all.

I have become very frugal since I started using nothing but cash, and unless I really, really need something, I just don't buy it.

As for christmas gifts, I have stopped giving them to anyone but the children in my extended family, and all I get them is an Amazon gift card, and I figure they can get whatever they want with that. It makes the holidays a lot less stressful. I can just take it easy and take in the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the season without getting exhausted by it.

      This is a scary thought.

This is the time of the year when Phoenix gets overrun with panhandlers from other parts of the country trying to escape the cold weather. Some of them can get very hostile and scary at times.

I try to use the buddy system whenever I go anywhere where there are going to be panhandlers. There is some safety in numbers.

I must admit I went with daugther to bath and body works on Friday - VERY NICE saleswomen (no snickering I'm serious) - daugther/wife were out of perfume/cologne, whatever, lotions...so I spent...$70...(now cashier said when done the total was $83, that if I get one more of this, and two more of that...so I said "Ha?" she said - ok, get one more of this, and two more of that, and you'll pay $10 less) and I did! Plus got their gift bag - mind you - this is like once every four to five months.

Is there a point here? Well here it is - she said (cashier making...conversation) "is this your first or last stop shopping?" So I said - my only stop.

          And she was like "wow."

All this Christmas shopping madness wouldn't be a bad thing if it was buying American goods and services such as the food tobee43 mentions or other services that will help our communities.

All this is doing is creating low wage dead end jobs and feeding the monster corporations.

Since this consumer spending cr@p is 70% of the economy then why aren't we in recovery yet? The money and jobs must stay home for a recovery to happen!!!

I wish these sheeple standing on line would see this!!!!!!!

i think the most disgusting part of this buying and spending is that most of these "things" are just wants and desires that helped get many into the debt situations they are now facing. until people begin to realize "things" are not what makes a person happy, this is going to continue.

i'm with you banca, buy american goods, help generate this country's recovery buy USA!!!!!!!

Huh? Is there anything still made in the U.S. at all, apart from certain groceries? I mean, I really don't want to put a pound of Dietz & Watson turkey breast in Christmas wrap and under the tree for my kids...

                  Good luck to us all.

I figure more folks can do stuff with family and friends vs. buy stuff such as PS or xbox.

At least long enough until we all bankrupt the people that are causing all of these imbalances.

You must be in possession of some *rare & vintage* board games and cards...

Yeah, we've got a few of those as well...the newer ones were made elsewhere...

We've got different types of "family nights" when we do all types of stuff together, be it playing board games, Wii or watching a movie...

                          Good luck to us all...

That's one of the many reasons I don't go shopping on Black Friday anymore. It is embarrassing for people to act like this.

                                And it even gets worse...

A California woman who won't face felony charges for pepper spraying Black Friday Walmart shoppers is considering a lawsuit claiming that the national retailer didn't provide enough security for the post-Thanksgiving shopping spree.
