ahhhhhhh people do come and go as DEW pointed out. i know i lurked on this board, maybe 2 years before finally joining in.

i know this site is a great educational experience, besides a support system.

and DEW...don't be surpised if you end up meeting a few from this board. actually, i have found some incrediable friendships right here that will most likely last for the rest of my life

For me I've had my 341 and the only thing left for me to do is pay my $100/month for 35 more months and I'll be done. It's been rather painless for me. My BF is going through a Sheriff sale on his house and has been unemployed since June 2011. He will need to file BK sometime in the future. He's not real big on posting questions on forums and even less into reading them! It's beneficial to me to read other people's post and experiences and give him the information. He tends to be reactive rather than proactive. They more I can get him to be the latter makes my life a lot easier . Besides, I like reading about other people's situations. Even though I will never meet anyone on this board somehow I've become attached to a few and genuinely care how things turn out for them.

You probably hit the nail on 3/4 the head and the other 1/4 is more trend-related. I also belong to a hobby-related forum and that forum, along with others folks have mentioned, have had a downturn over the past several months on postings....many people attribute it to Facebook and more folks gravitating there instead of posting on forums. Many are gravitating more to social sites to be social and now go to forums to obtain information only. It is really a trend that started some time ago with the growth of the social sites....
