Guess I must be in the odd-ball bunch as well re: Netflix. I'm actually saving $ every month by them breaking up their streaming / dvd plan since where we live, our ISP's dont really allow for streaming (gotta love the country! ). We had the 3 at a time unlimited DVD / unlimited streaming and it used to be roughly $22 (taxes incl) but we could never stream. Then they broke it down, separating streaming & DVD; now our plan is about $17 (taxes incl), so we are saving money.
Redbox is nice IF you can watch the movie the same night you get it...if not, you're paying for another night. Sometimes we plan on watching a movie but something else comes up, so its put off for a bit. Not having to pay that late fee is a huge benefit vs. RedBox or even going to whatever Movie Galleries are left. We broke it down and on average we watch roughly 8-12 movies in a 30 day timeframe: $1.30 - $2 per movie as worse case scenario. Still not bad...
