We are taking ds up to school tonight in Boston and just learned that our hotel has no power. Can you make the lights come back on, please?

Seriously, I heard on Clark Howard's program, and he responded to a question about an airline reservation to fly from Atlanta to somewhere in the affected area. Clark said to keep calling the airline, if you weren't able take that reserved flight, and keep pressing that you want a full refund for the cancelled flight, or at least a full credit if said flight has to be rescheduled for a few days later.

Clark says that at first, the airlines will not respond too well, but as time wears on, that they will begin to waive the 'rules and regulations' regarding the affected flights, and if you keep pestering them, they will finally respond with the refund or credit as described above.
