Economy is tough, even on the animals

So I have been throwing around some ideas on how I can help those in need. Though I do not have a lot of money I know that people still need help. I have 3 dogs and no matter what I still make sure they have food to eat every day. There are some months they don't eat the best food for them, but it is still dog food. To give you an example I can spend 20 dollars a week on a 20 pound bag of dog food. That is 80 dollars a month on just food expenses. I know some families that have lost their job and spending the 80 dollars on food for their animals each month can be hard. That is why so many animals end up homeless and end shelters. I have personally helped place over 200 animals in need in the last 5 years. I guess you could say I have a place in my heart for animals. I am thinking of starting a food bank for animals. I am trying to get some ideas together, but I know that people need help right now and what ever way I can help I want to.

Does anyone think this is a good idea? I know people need to eat, but these animals can not fend for their own needs.

Check with your local grocery stores, feed stores, etc. They always have busted bags of dog food that they need to get rid of. You can normally buy it cheap or perhaps get it for nothing if your cause is just.

Another thing you might want to consider doing is to start a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

We have one near us here - it is called Ani-meals. Some volunteers for Meals on Wheels bring the seniors their food for their pets periodically.

I think you should even throw some banners(which has got a written notice about your cause on it) near the Pet store or places where they sell the pet food and also in the Vat so that you get many hands to join with your Nobel cause !

I think creating awareness regarding this issue among all the friends would aso get us some help !
