Catleg, your preview gives a new insight on the warm and fuzzy feeling of our banking industry. If you notice, banks too are dropping like flies. Green Bank in Morristown TN my brother tells me, is about to drop now. Many are taken up by larger banks.

So far our government has been able to move into banking, building automobiles,Health care, control of our energy sources, soon control of our housing or abilities to house. It's called Nationalizing. Watch people starting to be assigned to the multitude of empty houses. Can you spell communism? Can you spell "Manchurian Candidate"? Can you raise your right hand and say Sieg Hiel FurorBammy.
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

me me me!! i can spell socialism !! LOL...

hub, i'm watching the sunday morning news on cbs...and this news just finished a story about how those over 50 and unemployed are SOL....and this is going to have and incrediable far and wide negative effects on the entire country, the likes that no one really understands now. (i really don't know what that exactly means)

an experiment, 200 applications were sent out using different birth dates....( by work experience and listing school grad dates),.and yes what?? 40% of the "youngest" group got a call back..and NONE of the "older" group. this report was done by boston u and rutgers...that was funny both are my old alumni , and i guess they both partnered on this study.

so this this morning i'm watching about how i'll never work again and thanks to cat, tonight, i'll find out more about the lousy fraud that banks are getting a way with

Yes Tobee, my wife worked and still does nine years at a local college library. She has been pleading for full time for years. She is far qualified and has a Masters degree and all the other stuff including expert computer education in hardware and software. The main librarian was to retire and when he did, a 30 year old 'kid' was hired outside of the loop, full time as the administrator. He has no real experience and Mrs. with her silver gray hair, is still working part time. But it's illegal to age discriminate, I've been told. And Govmint wouldn't lie to us I'm sure. Yeah sure. On a positive(?) note us old folks will probably be gone before it really gets bad-I worry about what will be left for our grandkids. Not much I'm afraid.

It really stinks how middle aged people are getting the shaft when it comes to applying for jobs. My DH lost his job of 19 yr. in 2007, he has a college degree, and an excellent resume in top sales spanning 30+ years. His job hunting has been abysmal. He was passed over for 4 really good jobs, and we believe it was his age, he was told for each of these positions that it was between him and one other person, and the other person got the job every time! He is working as underemployed, making far less than he did at his previous good job. Our son who just graduated college last year, moved to another city in Ohio, got a very good job within 2 weeks of his move, has gotten several offers for other jobs this past year. Our oldest son graduates in May with his masters degree and has already landed a six figure job starting in June. We are thrilled for them both, but we see a definate bias in hiring age wise, absolutely!

Neither will anyone else except for all of the rich that we all keep supporting.

I'm wondering how it's going to play out. These banksters are committing fraud (again). How can they go into a court with all of those bogus signatures and expect to foreclose?

I actually see this as another looming crisis. They will never be able to buy back all of those millions of mortgages or be able to find all of the owners of the paper.

As much as I am pro-debtor and what not...

At the end of the day, the people that were foreclosed upon were not paying their mortgage, the inevitable consequence is foreclosure. So, whether John bank or Jill bank actually foreclosed is of little difference in the big picture. The problem with HAMP, and all these programs is that it gave false hope to people. And instead of the housing crisis ending in 2009-2010, it will linger on for another 2-3 years. They either should have allowed "forced" modification in BK 13, or just ripped off the bandage and allowed a mass foreclosure and get it over with all at once.

In my workplace I have noticed that only younger applicants have been given positions in sales and others, so I do wonder if this bubble will pop in some way. I work for the biggest food company in the world and the goals one has to make to keep a job adds pressure to question the ethics around it. They want ethical people but don't add that standard to the company. Off the soap box.
It seems to me that they hire those who have no real expectations of the job so they (the company) can manipulate at will as those in these positions don't know any better. Now in management positions they seem to also be looking for the rookies as they can pay them far less to start. I can tell you that 80% of our hourly work force make as much money as some of our managers do and they have not raised the top pay for my position for 6 years now. What the hell is the formula?
