    Workers Comp Deposition

My DH is involved in Workers Comp case. I was deposed today. I was so ashamed when they asked how many times had I filed BK. I had one in 2005 and one in 02/2011. I feel like now they feel he is doing this b/c of my debt. He did not file. Maybe if they had paid him then I would not have been in debt.

I felt violated. They had done a background check on me. Luckily there was nothing I had to hide. I just felt it was my business and I was not the in the legal dispute so I should not have had to expose myself.

I never want to see a courtroom anytime soon. Not for my BK or his case.

Bling32 - try not to take it personally - they are asking those questions because they always look for fraud when there are workman's comp or disability claims and it's part of the territory they have to cover. It's best you were open and honest.

          ^^^^^^

Completely agree with the above, i think thread starter should not take it as an insult but rather be proud of being truthful when it mattered.
