Like Obama's tax policies of heavier taxes on the wealthy and free money to the lower/middle class? Sure that "helps" a lot of folks by giving them a free check every year, but in the end it helps nobody because the people getting the money spend it on consumables. Why do you think the last stimulus plans have had marginal at best results? The lower/middle class doesn't need the "free" money, they need the government to get the heck outa their lives, outa their retirement, outa their medical care, and get the government back into the business of simply making sure the state governments are following the United States Constitution.

My wife and I are barely holding out income-wise, we make enough to get by, but I guaran-damn-tee we'll never get on welfare and we'll never get food stamps. We don't want the governments help, it's bad enough we had to use medicaid with our unexpected pregnancy. We enjoy earning whats ours and our proud of the baby steps we are taking in becoming financially secure. Nothing in this world is free...somebody somewhere pays for it. As far as I'm concerned, if you make a million dollars a year, congrats, keep it, spend it, invest it...I don't want it, I'll make my own money thank you very much. The government can take it's socialist welfare programs and cram it.

Did you know that the U.S. Government permits the FED to create money out of thin air - with no gold backing?

Did you know that the FED loans the money to the U.S. Government WITH INTEREST? (This interest makes up the Federal Debt)

Have you wondered why the U.S. Government does not print the money itself and eliminate paying interest to the private for-profit FED?

Did you know that 1999 payments to the private FED totaled $1,703,000,000,000? That is over $36 million dollars per hour!

Do you realize that because of the above, the children, grand children, great grand children and great, great grandchildren of the FED owners will NEVER have to work a day in their lives while you work 12 hours a day just to make ends meet?

Did you know that on January 15, 1984 the Grace Commission (a private sector, blue ribbon committee requested by President Ronald Regan) found that "100 percent of what is collected is absorbed SOLELY by interest on the Federal Debt�.all individual Income Tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the service taxpayers EXPECT FROM GOVERNMENT!"

Did you know that President John F. Kennedy started creating United States dollars to replace the Federal Reserve dollars shortly before he was assassinated?

Did you know that in 1933 under Executive Order Number (6073) then President F.D. Roosevelt made it illegal for anyone to own or trade gold (Except Federal Reserve Banks) with jail and large fines for those that did not give up their gold? That executive order was only applicable in federal possessions and territories. The People were simply too naive to know that back then.

Would you be surprised to know that, based on the income of many homeowners, if you were able to keep the amount of tax withheld from you annually, this tax savings would equal the equivalent of 40 acres and a mule in only two years?

I wonder what's worse, taxes taking your share of the pie or the extra competition from extra workers taking your share of the pie if everyone worked. I often think of this basic scenerio. Take a Doc in a small town who makes $100,000 a year and pays 50% in taxes and nets $50,000 a year. That sounds awful to most. Now what if his town/country gets everyone educated and employed and just three more people in that town now become Docs. Since the amount of healthcare work is more or less the same and all 4 docs are more or less equal, now the Docs in that town are only grossing about $25,000 each, sharing the $100,000 total work that the original doc had all to himself in the old system. Now the original Doc is grossing half what he used to net. I know the population can grow and so the amount of work but I figure so would the potential for more docs to appear thinning the work pie more to compensate. I don't know if anyone ever crunched the numbers on this but I often wonder which system we really are better off in.

Minnymouth, I agree with you whole heartedly. We are a country of immigrants that came here legitimately all others can do the same! If you want the benefits then you need to be part of the team. Yes, english is the national language. It's time that we the people of these United States of America say so and not be afraid. We take liberalism way to far and we are suffering for it and foriegners are grossly taking advantage of us.

The "American Dream" is one of the most commonly misunderstood ideals in American culture. The term is used loosely to mean just about anything from the acquisition of wealth, to home ownership, to moral license, to success in court against McDonald's--all without appreciation for the original significance of the Dream.
