I have a german sheppard who makes regular german sheppards look small. If someone came into my house when I wasn't there they would be lunch or toast, you pick! The UPS delivery guy knows.

I'm getting junk mail nearly daily about my BK, and how all these people can 'help' me. Anyone can find out who your mortgage company is by looking it up on PACER. Maybe the guy is legit and just terribly aggressive, but he was in the wrong. Beware and be assertive. Wishing you well.
I think it comes from the credit bureaus; I have opted myself and my wife out of getting "promotional credit offers" from them and we haven't hardly gotten any mail at all trying to "help" us. Now if I could just make these energy choice people go away ...
filed chapter 13..confirmed...converted to chapter 7...DISCHARGED!

Good suggestion, catleg. I've put myself on the do-not-call list and up until the BK, hardly received junk mail. I hadn't thought about opting out on credit reports - which having to opt out at each bureau is nuts if you ask me - but they didn't, so, there you go. Thanks!
Filed Chapter 7 on 2/22/11, 341 meeting held 3/30/11, relief of stay on foreclosure 4/12/11, relief of stay on auto 5/17/11, Discharge on 6/6/11!

I've also put a permanent freeze on all our credit files too. A good idea IMHO given how little use we have for credit now.

This was my business line of credit and NOT my mortgage.

                  Assistance Anyone???
Next time call the cops while the intruder is still there and report a break in. The bank does not have the right to have someone enter the home that they do not own. And until your name is off the deed, you are the owner and not the bank. That person broke the law.

Exactly - just prior to filing I received a letter from the bank stating they were turning my account over to the foreclosure department and they had the 'right' to come into and inspect my house. BUT - there was no mention of doing it without my being there. Also, how in the world did they get in? I know that after I had some remodeling work done I changed the locks so how could someone get in unless they broke in?

I would simply have filed a criminal trespass and breaking and entering complaint with the police department. Luckily, he wasn't in my home, because he'd probably be injured as I defended my property.
                      Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

really, the police should have been called. especially, to make a record of what happened. i hope OP filed a complaint.

I think that there is definitely something shady gong on! This guy that was in your house should be in handcuffs.

field services came to our home and changed locks, locked us out. they were supposed to "secure" the home and winterize. they did not do it all right and we now have no heating in our home due to their negligence.
i asked the bank the name of the company they use and was told that is confidential information. WTF???
Tried debt settlmnt, stopped paying all cards 5/09/--filed bk no asset ch7 in 11/2010---DISCHARGED 2/2011!!! Still waiting to see how much more Bank of America and Fannie Mae can ruin us
