That looks like my little Avatar, when I MUST wash her. She is very flea-allergic, and also allergic to the flea remedies..... I have to wear full body armour.

Awww..it DOES look like your kitty . Our cat looks more like the PO'd cat swimming in the pool when we have to give him a bath. Thankfully its not very often - but he definitely lets me know he is not pleased by biting the back of my leg every chance he gets after the bath

                  little boogers arent they?

At least Angelina can tolerate Advantage now and again--but not on a regular basis.

Years ago, I had another cat, who was long hair and REALLY could not tolerate the flea remedies at that time--Adams Flea Spray; anything containing pyrethrins-- the prevailing fleas remedy at the time. Every time I tried to administer one of these, I was rushing him to the vet, while forcing Gatorade--per Vet orders--down his throat.

So truly, the only remedy here was to bathe him. He did NOT like it, but he learned to understand the meaning of the 'bath'. I truly wished I had photographed him--no one would believe this--and I was too stupid to think to do it. But when Toogie decided that it was time for a bath, I would find him either in the bathtub under the dripping faucet, or under the faucet in the basin in the bathroom, or even one time in the kitchen sink.

                            'Hub can attest to this.

And here I thought our cat was the only "weird" one that had reactions to any type of flea medication! Good to know there's others out there, as our vet stated that its pretty rare for reactions to the topical treatments. I've tried them all (topical) and he screams like he's dying then starts scratching/turning red on the site. Bad reaction apparently. Our cat has allergies (seasonal) but is also extremely medication sensitive as well as most topical things. he's very limited on antiobiotics and pain meds and even though he's 22 lbs and the size of a maine coon cat (he's a wedgie ) he only gets 1/4 of a dose to whats RX'd to many cats his size. Thought we almost killed him one time when giving him a tranquilizer to ride in the car and luckily I only gave him 1/2 the dose, but still ended up in the ER vet as he ended up in seizures

What does the gatorade do? I'd imagine it's similar to Pedialyte, which I've given many times to our kitty, and is for hydration, but I never thought to use gatorade. Any particular flavor?

I gave our cat flea meds a couple of days ago (the topical kind you put on their back), and he started flinching and acting really weird. I googled a little bit and found that they can cause seizures! I had him in the sink taking a bath in about 12 seconds time, and OH he did NOT like it at all! It took THREE of us to get it done. Poor thing, but he felt a lot better afterward! Wish I had pictures!
