2. Do you have an assignable mortgage on your current property (however, even if the mortgage was assignable, the failure to reaffirm may quash this option because the note has been discharged, nothing left to assign).
Is it "possible", I suppose. Is it likely, not really. (at least not without knowing more)
Your brother will need to refi out the note. So long as you have an existing mortgage (albeit discharged), you won't be able to get a another mortgage.
