    Omg - grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

    We so need a pissed off smilie or a "Hey I'm stupid" smilie!

    WHY is it that most CSR's are complete idiots, impervious to comprehension of the English language and written word?! I will never again order from Borders bookstore. Charged twice for the same items...unauthorized 2nd charge from my account, have the transaction showing as much - and the CSR's dont get it?!

    Convo with CSR:

    Me: (after an hour on the phone, 4 separate emails, and a copy of my bank statement - all saying the same thing):

    " Why and how is that so hard to understand that you charged me twice for the same item - and on 2 days apart from each other?! $XX amount was taken out on 11 Nov - and on 13 Nov... you again took out $XX. I've got 2 transactions and 1 wasnt authorized by me."

    CSR: "thank you for using Borders - at this time we can refund you $XX if you care to return the item once received. You will however incur additional shipping charges to return said item."

    Me: "OMFriggingGOD - are you that slow, really - 4 emails, 1 hour phone call, copy of my bank statement showing 2 separate charges by Borders...and you still arent grasping what you've done? I do not want to RETURN the item - I want my money back that you took out TWICE for this item - unauthorized charge in your possession - do you see it in front of you? $XX amount on 11 November - and another $XX on 13 November. What part arent you understanding here?!"

    CSR: "you can return the item once you receive it but you'll have to pay for shipping."

    Really? Are people that frigging dumb?

    Ugh. I dont have the patience or tolerance.....sometimes you just want to smack someone.

    pandora, was this by chance an "online" order???

    the reason i'm asking is that i have for the past ...i want to say 10 years or so ordered everything from food to xmas gifts on line.

    i have had SO MANY problems this year, it's unreal. we ALSO got a double charge and we had to go back to the bank and argue with THEM as a disputed charge since the merchant keep telling us they would return the money and weeks had passed and they did NOTHING!!

    i just attempted to place an order ...went to check out thinking i could use paypal since that's what it said...then got there and it would not take it. called and the guy says no we want a visa or master card...( i have a debit card, but i don't like giving out that info so with paypal they never disclose to the merchant your payment info)...i told the guy KEEP the order. and, this was a major company! they didn't even care about losing the sales. or at least this customer service person could care LESS!!

    i have NOTHING against anyone in this world and i love all nations...let me make that clear...but come on all i ask or request is that one..please speak enough english to minimally understand and resolve a problem. i would have LOVED that customer service job!

      yeah it was online.... and the woman and man I was speaking to... were from the US. It wasnt a matter of culture clashes/difference, it was a matter of just not comprehending the issue.

        well, i dealt with the culture issue, and it was a major amercian company...again i don't mind anyone from anywhere...just speak effectively.

        did you FINALLY straighten the matter out?

          not yet... have to wait for the "supervisor" to come in.... at 10. Did call my bank and dispute the charge - now it's a matter of waiting, but geez...

            yes, just more of your time taken up. it's so frustrating even nowadays for someone to TAKE your money!
