Crazy person??? I hate to admit this but I've started growling at people. As in physically growling, like a dog. Makes them go away real quick, especially when I look as insane as I do. Easy and effective way to deal with the sourpusses of society where I live, yet discreet enough that my little girl doesn't notice. And I always get a kick out of watching their confused expressions when they realize it's an actual human growling...LOL

I used to live in NorCal....I think I know you!! LOL, just kidding about the knowing you part, though I did live in Sonoma County for years ;)

You mean that thing my Dad told me.... to act like a crazy person if threatened..actually works? HA HA HA I will have to give it a go sometime soon..very soon!

Man do I hate when people ride my cars backside when I'm driving - and truckers are the WORST! I've been known to go down to a rolling speed when someone rides my bumper - the entire time they're doing as you stated above, flashing lights, blowing horns, flipping me off... and I just smile sweetly and wave the whole time! Talk about pissing someone off...wave at them and smile - or even laugh for that matter - Holy Mother of God do people get irate when you do that! ROFL! Hubby tells me one day I'm gonna get shot at for doing it.

When gainfully employed with my beloved career job and company, I was taking a service call on a 40 mile straight line two lane road. This furniture truck was going my speed then slowed. So, I go to pass him on the (usual) left side. The truck pulled to my lane and blocked my pass. Well, only a mis drive so again I attempt and same deal. I see some brat in the very large mirror in drivers seat laughing at me. So one more attempt and same.

Well, I think, This AH is playing games. So, company car, big truck, more speed, and I just ran the pass and if he hits me, I get a day off and he pays my company insurance so, I give it the gun and pass successfully and uneventful. So, I'm now up to cruising speed of 55. He's on my @zz. Bumper style. So I go to 70 and same. So, I am in a fine company station wagon and LOCK MY BRAKES UP into blue smoke. He does the same into the shoulder then back on the road. So I get out and give them a piece of my lessor kindness. They, two youths "shoot me two birds, but I get the tag number on the front of the truck in memory and write it down.

So, I just start my trip to my service call, and they again on my bumper. I go to my glove box, and simply remove my "friend" and put it upon the dash board and that truck backed off big time.

Then, at that time, my youngest daughter was a dispatcher at the Florida Highway Patrol in my town. I went in and said W**** please run this tag and give me the phone number of the owner.

She did, I called from FHP and got the Mother of the driver whose son was to be alone and he was to be in Orlando not where he was. I told her I was about to inflict holes into her trucks engine with my "friend's" help and that I was pressing charges and was now at the FHP station doing so. She asked if it could be "worked out". I said, if you give me assurance that you will "explain" to your son that he was next to being killed for self defensive reasons, and that he would not do that again, I would not sign a complaint.

Believe me, she assured me, BIG TIME and was she pizzed. 'Hub

Discouraged - I refuse to pull over or speed up because some idiot behind me has the need for speed LOL! I'm not a slow driver, but I usually dont go more than 5 mph over the speed limit. What I hate the MOST however is when someone drives under the speed limit constantly! Good lord - the other day I was going to the store and had this woman in front of me doing 35 in a 55 zone - for 20 miles! I felt like pushing her car with mine just to make it go faster - for pete's sake, at the very least drive the speed limit ya know?! What a PITA she was - even my son was yelling from the back seat "GAS PEDAL IS ON THE RIGHT!" LOL!

Joe - LOL @ u! Growling huh? Well....I havent had to resort to that yet but the future looks pretty bright in that area Maybe you should pocket some Gavascon tablets so the next time you can actually show the foaming of the mouth aspect

'Hub - Nice! I'll bet the mom gave him an earful when he got home! You're too funny - I wouldnt of gotten out of my car for nuthin' - "friend" or no "friend" - my luck I'd get the psycho killer and that'd be it for me!

HUB!!! omg....that's why i do NOT carry my friend with me...although i have someone next to me that always carries...i could have never done his job i would have shot everyone a few times...i guess that's why he had HIS job and i had MINE. i mean even when someone went after him with an AXE....he arrested the guy and then LET HIM GO...although his partner had to hold his "friend" to the guys head so the axe didn't come down on dh heads...i'm like HOW can you let this guy GO??

ahhh...he said the guy just a few too many and works for the town and will lose his job and has 3 little kids........ and i say......AND ALMOST KILLED YOU had the axe come down...and your point is????

oh well...see, they only give people the power that can really do something to the kind of people that DON'T!!!!!
