Hated to miss out on most of the fun...

Didn't get much time at the BBQ, had to take my husband to the cardiologist today, spent most of the day there. He has to have heart catherization again, (this will be the 3rd time in 5 years) next week.
He isn't necessarily a baby but he is E-V-I-L!!!, Moody, yada, yada, yada.
Then all he can talk about is we just got out of medical bill debt, I said oh well, they can't eat us, we can $5 a month them to death......they can wait in line........
Anyway, I can't tell you all the good laughs I had looking at the pictures, etc. and reading all the comments.

IT IS SO NICE TO SEE OTHER'S GOOD FORTUNE!!!!
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

You were missed at the party Sunshine. Sorry to hear about DH health issues. We just went through all of that (not heart but serious health issue that turned out good)... I know what you mean about how "they" can be when "they" are not feeling well. I just kept giving my DH another pain pill when he would start to get on my nerves!! lol Wellll, they were ordered and it did help.

Hope all goes well for him.

Bkfiler really put on the ritz for us today. It was great fun.

Thanks ya'll! My husdand is almost 20 years older than I am and the only insurance he has is at work and because of his heart, we can't afford anymore. If I put him on my insurance at work it is almost an extra $400 a month (can't do it). There are the ususal deductions ,co-pays, etc. It will be three or four thousand out of pocket. (he may be worth it, I"ll wait and see)
Has good boss and is well loved at work. THe travel is getting to him though, he hasn't really looked for a job here though (been married 6 years), We are both so independant, I'm not sure how 24/7 would be. HE isn't as financially ready for retirement, I am better planned than he is and plan to do even better. I pray and know all will be well.

im worried about you guys not having better insurance.

id look for work that gives him excellent insurance instead imo.

also, what happens god forbid if he gets worse and passes away, are you going to be left with huge bills that will your debt then? i dont know how this works to be honest. if so then get life insurance.

this is no joking matter. its cheap compared to what can happen.

working for the city, state, gov etc can give excellent benefits as one idea.

Well, hospital bills and related expenses are one of the reason that we filed. This will be his 3rd catherization in about 5 years. He has a couple of stinks. He and I both work for the government, he with city/county (ga.) and I work for the state (nc). His insurance is relatively good, mine is so/so. The only life insurance that I have on him right now is what is carried at work which is less than $10,000. Can't find any I can afford with is health problems, it had been long enough that one of the state carriers was willing to consider insuring him but I don't know now, will have to call. Hope that this will show nothing and maybe we can still get the insurance. I have a reasonable amount of insurance but it will cost more than double the premium at half the amount as mine. I am also in the process of adding more insurance on me (??? hope).
Will take one day at a time and prepare for the worst and hope for the best!!
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

Wow you guys are brutal lol. I guess it would be obvious to anyone who became involved with an older partner, that the elder one will start falling apart sooner, right?

Trust me he wouldn't make good fertilizer. I figure as long as I pay the doctors and hospitals something, they will just have to be patient......
