Economic upswing? Not for these folks.

An article I found in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Very disheartening.

Filed July 2009. Discharged 08/08/2014. Awaiting closing. We made it !!!! Woo-hoo!

Andy158: That is truly a scary story. We too live in a 'one horse town'. We have GA Pacific as our main industry. Since I am rebuilding my house (as I can afford), I am noticing a lot of Chinese made paneling in both Lowes and Home Depot. This worries me as GA Pacific not only puts out paper products here, but plywood and paneling. The story above gives me a fear of a harbinger to come for many small towns.

Don't blame big business and greed. It was this Country who paid many industries to move out of our Country. Tree huggers wished the steel plants out of Gary Indiana, and then NAFTA. My German Volkswagen was assembled in Mexico and has a Japanese starter and other parts not made here. Toyota is built in THIS Country and our Government has done it's best to put them out of business so it would not compete with "Government Motors" (GM).

The current solutions to all problems in our current administration is to levy more taxes.

Recently on CNN I saw a article that we are hitting a double bubble. So plan on it getting a little more rough within the next 2-3 years.

In my area property values went up for the 1st quarter in well over 3 years. Now they have drop down into 2004 numbers. Very sad economic times indeed.
