Truck broke down on way home from work last night. Needs a new fuel pump so we're down to one vehicle for now and work on opposite ends of town. My DL expired last week went to renew online and wasn't aware Florida wants your birth certificate, social security card, and two other types of bills showing your address. I got all that together and went down there to renew and was told since I've had a name change in my life (I was married at one time). I have to bring in a copy of my marriage license (have no clue where that is so have to get a copy). I've had a drivers license with this state for over 20 years now but they changed the laws Jan 1st. and basically want everything.

I wonder if they'll draw blood after I give them all the paperwork just to be 100% sure I am who the loads of paperwork say I am.

I feel for you. Florida is full of illegal immigrants so this is one way they try to combat the problem, I guess.
