Does anyone know if there is a legal timeframe that the Trustee has to close the bk. We filed april 09, discharged dec 09. still nothing about closeing? Thanks.

No, there really isn't. The Trustee closes the Bankruptcy case when the Bankruptcy Estate has been fully administered. The Trustee must be waiting for something. Is the Trustee selling property? Is the Trustee waiting for an income tax refund from you? Those facts determine when your case will close.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Also some of the Trustees really "drag" their feet. I filed in June 04 and closed in March of 06..... property was sold in 05..... but my Trustee took his good ole time closing anything.....
Just be patient, its just a formality anyways. Basically, you discharge is YOUR closing date and final...... the closing for the Trustee is just lots of loose end paperwork they drag out usually.....Minny
