    Freezing in Virginia!

    Hey Everyone,

It is colder than cold here in the Old Dominion. We had a high of 26 degrees, but it feels about 10 degrees. We may get some snow towards the end of the week AGAIN. We had quite a big snowstorm here the week before Christmas. You'd never know it if you saw the streets now.

Maybe we will have summer in March...I can always hope

I'm not understanding this? All the "Climate Changers, AKA Climate Warmers" have predicted many hurricanes in Florida and the World. Ain't got much action in the last two years. Warming? Hell 1887 records broken today, and today's record to be broken tomorrow.

Who am I to argue with CO2 (you know, the stuff that plants need to live and then expel oxygen), when we will soon be taxed on breathing. INHALE, oxygen. EXHALE carbon-dioxide. The balance of Nature or in my feelings of God.

Why would God make a planet so well, and allow man the ability to destroy it? It does not compute. But what the heck, Al Gore did build the Internet. I wonder if he knows the seven protocols of the IP address? 'Hub

Yeah we have a "hard freeze" warning for SE Texas, too.... and sleet...isn't that like slushies from the sky??? This is just wrong on so many levels. I left Chicago to get away from this cold nonsense! lol!

Advocates of global warming say that the earth is heating up, which could tip us over into a ice age. Maybe it did? It is at zero in the Ozarks.

HHHMMMM; logically speaking Mr. Spock, global heating is going to cause an ice age? HHHMMMM, "Computer! Tell me what millennium we are in?" "Computer! Scan the surface of Earth please. Is that a Mammoth, or just a hairy elephant?"

I still think it is part of the natural cycle of Earth, the planet has been historically much hotter than it is today.

Lol.. it does sound funny... but that is what I read... the last ice age was caused by the planet heating up, and the tiping factor in the 1800-s moved us into a mini ice age of sorts. So, I am sticking with that, it warmed up last year, and this year it is colder than Chicago.. it has to be an ice age.. lol

                  Kansas City temperatures since 1889

Data collected since 1889 on temperatures in Kansas City. You may find this interesting. Scroll down and select a month and follow the numbers back to 1889.

                    Ditto.....

despite of covering plants/bushes with sheets, and the place looking as though it is Halloween around here, we have already lost 2 bushes.

Have been around here for over a decade (doesn't that sound like a l-o-n-g time?) but it has NEVER been this cold before. Sure it's common to get a 'touch' of overnight frost this time of year, but the norm is that it would be back up to 70+ degree by noon.

Temperatures in the mid 40's at noon are not funny anymore.....

I don't think advocates of global warming ever claimed we wouldn't have winter- its a gradual warming of the earth... I'm sure when its 100 degrees this summer we'll be thinking thinking otherwise...

It routinely gets over 100 degrees in summer here in South Texas, sometimes for two or three months at a time.... that won't prove a durn thing lol.

In 100 years, we won't raise the norm one degree. We will however, be taxed on something that cannot be corrected by Govmint. It is a World wide ponzie scheme.

EDIT: Yes we will always have a winter. This one is a record breaker. 1887 in FL and the record breaks itself for four days.

We visited Dallas on July 4, 1996, and it was 108 sweltering degrees.
