JR.. Some have lived that lifestyle, but many have not. Medical debt is what has forced 67% of the the people into BK, not fast and high living. Here at work there is a lady thats husband was not able to work, and I mean really he can not. It took 2 full years to get SS for him, and she is working and paying for the medical for both of them during that time and raising two kids. They did not live high, they lived low. Once it settle they got back payments so they paid their debt off and are now with zip in the bank again and hoping nothing else goes wrong on their little income. Many have watched what they spend, many have saved only to lose it all over medical debt.

Yes, JR I am not a fan of big business. Any time something gets too big for others to be competitve against I don't like it. Big business does not invent or create like smaller businesses do. Big business is all about stockholders instead of the working stiff. Big government is at least held to some standard by us being able to vote, big business you have not choice, they simply do as they please and buy people off in Washington. If big business had less power we would not need big governemnt. Think of a government that does not have to deal with rich powerful lobby anchored business but can do what is best for the country! All successful counties have to have a government, look at the ones that have smaller governmental power like Mexico. The rich have it all there but the government is very small really. It is made up of a few corrupt people who never saw fit to do the right thing for their people down there. We need controls, but we would far less of them if we had honest people running for office, and smaller businesses that would compete.

They are to repubs what the liberal evening news is to the dems. Beck "seems" more on the ball since he puts the falling dollar front and center.
Personally we not only don't need the liberal, socialist agenda, we also don't need anymore republican tax cuts for anyone. We need tort reform to bring back businesses plus affordable healthcare and we need to pay off our national debt.
Merry Christmas to all!!!The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government

I don't believe a single word that comes from any politicians mouth.
Michael Moore is the same as Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Schultz, Maddow and all the other talking heads I missed. Each of them are entertainers and shouldn't be taken seriously.Stopped Payings CC's: 8/14/2009 | Retained Attorney: 9/23/2009 | Filed CH 7: 12/7/2009 | 341 Meeting: 1/21/2010 - Complete | Discharged: 4/9/2010

LimpDisc........bobble heads is a better word.
This thread is entertaining and I enjoyed all the "talking heads" (the entertainers, and none of us should be taken seriously) either. If we all could see each other sitting at a discussion table, I think we would have a great time going over how to improve this great country of ours.
It is 815pm, Eastern Standard time in Michigan. We have lots of snow and a big storm on it's way. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!(first 341 10/14/09, cont'd 341 10/23/09) (12/14/09 last day to object) (341 Shows HELD w/tt report of no distribution 1/9/2010)

JrScott, it is an absolute mess, no doubt. I love the fire and vigor in this group on this thread. I mentioned it earlier. One thing for sure, Americans do not lay down too long and take much stuff like this forever. The meeting of the minds is on this thread like our Congress is trying to meet the difficult challenges to "the mess we are in." Right now it doesn't matter who is at fault, I think. We are in it for the long haul no matter what comes down from the lawmakers. All I know is that we will survive this as we are a great country with strong people to push forward. I don't have the answers, but maybe, just maybe, it all will turn out for the good. Whatever that is.(first 341 10/14/09, cont'd 341 10/23/09) (12/14/09 last day to object) (341 Shows HELD w/tt report of no distribution 1/9/2010)

This is the problem with congress. They are NOT trying to meet the difficult challenges. They are moving one set of problems to another group of people.
Just like the healthcare debate. It's tragic that there are so many bk filings due to the current healthcare system.
The fix? Bk the entire US treasury! What a fix! $10 per gallon gasoline and no military to protect us since they have to get paid.
Like us bk savvy folks, congress must learn from us and balance the budget. The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government
