One day for sure man (and woman) will no longer stumble around on this planet. It's a fact, the earth will change and has been changing for millions of years. The living things (man or beast) on it will either have to evolve or Parrish from it.

If you believe in the Mayans we only have 3 years left anyway. (12/21/12)

I see proof that the Ocean's are raising. Just a few years ago the pacific had a lot more shore line then it does now. The pacific has claimed a lot of HWY 101 already.. and it's taken more every year.

In reality is there anything we can do to stop it, or change it? Not likely. Would it had happen anyway had man never existed? Yup, with out a doubt. We MAY have sped it up a little bit, but not by that much.

Our sun is changing and we had nothing to do with that. Our moon is moving away from us at a rate of a couple of inches a year and we had nothing to do with that. BUT.. I am sure if a group of people could figure out how to blame.. oh lets say people who drive Hummers, or paper factories, or what ever... they would.

It's kinda hard to make a case for global warming when we have had snow here in deep east Texas for two years in a row... and before that not since the turn of the century!

I don't think everyone and their grandmother having their own car is good for anyone. We should be concentrating our efforts on good, dependable mass transportation.

I concentrated as hard as I could and I still couldn't manifest good dependable mass transportation in my rural area. We have a bus that goes to town and is sort of reliable, it's even cheaper than the gas to drive there. But for the bankruptcy court, or like... if I EVER wanted to go anywhere other than Hometown, USA.... to say, maybe get a JOB.... I had to manifest my own means.

Oh and global warming supposedly makes colder winters and hotter summers. The fact that TX and LA had snow does not mean we are cooling off haha.

Rural areas don't have killer ozone levels. I'm talking about cities. Large and not so large. I took the bus everywhere in Baton Rouge. I used to ride my bike to work every day until a SUV hit me. I want to be car-free. I can rent whatever car if I want a vacation or a road-trip

That is something Obama is working towards. Mass transportation. It will happen.

Population density outside the probably 30 major cities in the US is not sufficient to pay for a mass transportation system. Keep in mind Europe has a much higher population density than we do and is one reason mass transportation is far more common there.

You are correct there. Being a larger country has it plus and minuses too. We would be hard pressed to put public transportation access everywhere, but Chicago has a great L Train system. There is parking along the stations stretching out a long ways. We could do a model more like that where people can park and ride the train in to town. That would settle the need to stop for the kids or groceries on your way home, you still could. The other side of that issue is it will take longer to get there and home, and where the train stations there would have to be a bus system strong enough to support it. In Europe people work shorter work weeks, have more time off.. part of the reason is the extra rail time. I doubt we will have many companies allowing that to happen here. The profits are much more important that people and what we have to breathe.

Im up in the air about the global warming thing. I believe it's almost all political now, as most things go. It seems the dems are saying it's happening, and the repubs are pretty much saying it's not so. But I do know that the winters here in upstate NY are nowhere as severe as they were when I was growing up. We get some nasty cold, and big snowfalls, but not for the duration of winter than we used to get before. I dont know, I tend to think it's just a natural occurrence. Not like I can do anything about the weather.

So let's just get rid of the cities then. Problem solved!

Wait a minute....... I don't want all the city people out here in the country. We need to find a better solution.

Man-Made Global Warming is probably a myth. Try reading The Deniers by Lawrence Solomon and see if you still believe Al Gore and all the other hysterical fearmongers.
                          The world's simplest C & D Letter:
"I demand that you cease and desist from any communication with me."
Notice that I never actually mention or acknowledge the debt in my letter.

What I need you to do- for those who suggest global warming- is to cut your power. Live like the Amish. That way - you wont make smog that I have to breath.

Next- send money to Goldman Sachs. They stand to take a cut over each carbon unit traded on the exchange. -rather like a derinitive.

So if you are worried about it- stop using power. And I mean NOW.
                            Discharged- pro se- chapter 7~!
