'CatalinaCatHub' Quoted:.... "It is my belief, we have seen our last voted president and our first permanent "president". ie Fidel Castro....."

How true! Around my household everytime 'La Presidenti' is coming on the tube...(which is at LEAST once a day!!!).... my German born wife will comment in disgust: ....' this ^%#$ is just like Fidel Castro...endless speeches...here we go.....

I also believe that the 'man' has learned that throwing as many topics as possible out at once is a perfect tool for manipulation, i.e. takes the 'heat' off one hot topic and 'befuddles' it all...as nobody can, nor will be able to follow up on everything.... therefore it's a perfect opportunity to go after whatever is really sought to be accomplished....

I truly believe that Obama and 'crew' are evil, and are successfully totally destroying this country.... a plan long in the working, to 'work this place over'... Too bad the majority of Americans are still fast asleep... In a best case scenario the 'man' needs to be impeached...in a hurry!

The goverment takes 25% paycheck and every year I pay more when I do my taxes in April. Just wonderful!

Every year I get to hear how everyone gets their $3,000-$5,000 in tax returns. I always tell them you're welcome.

Each soldier, marine, sailor and airman died in Iraq and A-Stan fought the war with pride and dignity. Fighting terrorism abroad than in the homeland. Why don't you tell it to the each family of the victims of 911.

Presidential ethics? There is absolutely nothing ethical about what Bush did.

Did he bow to the Saudi prince or the Japanese emperor?

Torture is wrong. And he let it happen. Invading a country under false pretenses is wrong. But he did it anyway. And while he distracted himself with Iraq, Osama Bin Laden went free.

How can you gain information from the terrorist? Oh you probably supports them and defend them in court? Right, Mr Holder? Every leader in the country believes Saddam is a bad person and hates America combine it with AL Quaida but combo. Osama was on the target in Clinton Administration and waiting for his permission but he was busy playing gulf and eating Monica.

He made a mockery of the United States. He considered ANYBODY who spoke ill of his policies of being unpatriotic. He joked about, in a press conference that I saw, there not being WMD in Iraq when he had no choice but to admit that there were none. And never was.

He made a mockery of the US for you probably and rest of your liberal hate-America friends.

That man knows absolutely nothing about ethics. Or keeping us safe. Just look at the mess we are in now.

Well, big mistakes with Bush is he listen to political correctness and appeasing the muslims.

If Gore had been president (and remember, he DID have the popular vote, not Bush), we wouldn't have invaded Iraq and I seriously doubt that it would be as bad as it is now.
What you are supporting the Gore where in fact he is in trouble right now about the climategate. Wow, Dr Savage is right. Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Mods - is there anyway this thread could be moved to general talk? It clearly has more to do with venting than with offering advice regarding chapter 7 BK.

Great point....I started the thread in hope others would help me understand why "Banks are just MEAN." I understand the politics behind the banking revolution, but the cap stone is..... aren't there still humans behind the voice. The boardroom has to be filled by people, why is a profit more important than a way of life for millions of Americans.

As for Obama, he walked into a mess, but he knew this when he ran for office (I think its cool we have a colored president, its good for our nation, brings us together) As for Bush, not going there. Politics is nowhere near what our forefathers could have imagined....today it's all about Power and Prestige. He with the most money wins.

My ideals were that if banks would remember that tied to their risk is a family or person, maybe they could write policy around the human factor to ensure a return on their investment. Profit is not a bad word unless it is taken because you can at the expense of another.

Deregulation has caused a wildfire of greedy MBA's that find loopholes in loopholes to make a buck, not caring who they hurt in the process. As long as they can affort their house in the Hamptons...all is well. As all this financial crisis was beginning, a lot of people spoke the warning to the masses, no one listened.

How many jobs could one Wall Street executives bonus create...do the math? I did a lot of stupid things when money was cheap and easy to come by, I am paying the price now with my BK.

                This post reeks of intelligence.

Can you provide a true comparison of Bush and Hitler? By the way, Hitler's government was a socialist one.

What fascism did you see during Bush's tenure? I'm quite curious to read this as I missed it.

Raising taxes is always the answer for those who have never paid taxes nor will they. Little do these tax-raisers realize but it's the highly taxed who provide the capital to create jobs for them. Take away their cash, give it to the government and you have nothing. No jobs, no new investments just a typical socialist country with no future.

The only color I see with Obama is red, as in Commie red.

Why are liberals free to practice racism? If a conservative referred to Obama as a "colored president" he'd be run out of town.

Class envy in a man is as unbecoming as penis envy. I recommend you choose the path freedom allows you and open your own bank with the goal of remembering it's all about helping the little guy. If you need a house in the Hamptons, you can work hard at your bank and then buy one.

Why does it matter how many jobs a bonus can create? My guess is the executive will invest his bonus in things like trips and yachts and fancy cars and fancy dinners and....all of which provide jobs for those who don't receive the same bonus.

Why do you think only Republicans can be Christian?

Why do you think only Republicans can be gun owners?

This country is so screwed because everyone wants to put a label on the other person. I'm quite happy not being a republincan or democrat. I have been voting for 25 years and I haven't voted for a decent politician yet and that includes both parties.

Speaking of voice and opinions.... interesting because when we moved to SC hubby put out a little flag on our mailbox for Jeff Gordon, and SC is Earnhart country. They beat our mail box to a pulp, having lived in IL,IA, AZ, and CA we had never had a problem before! Then we moved to GA and I found out that they open their meetings with a prayer, quote scripture for business meetings as if God or Christ have wallets and bank accounts, and ask what church you go to. The CPA was Jewish, and very much out of place there. I had NEVER seen that before... and in SC, GA, and here now in MO the upper mgmt speaks out about the LEFT as if they are all to blame for our problems. In fact during 9/11 they did not blame bush, but rather it was CLINTON! But in Jan. it was Obamas fault. I see it this way, both parties are not looking our for OUR interests, you know the WE the People.... supporting either one makes no good sense at all. Blaming Obama for the mess we are in when we started crashing in 2006 is not realistic. We need change in government and we need to regulate business so they can't sell snake oil, we need to fine people big time for breaking the laws of tax evasion and hiring illegals.. Bush was in Office for 8 years and he supported both of those as does the current administration. We got here because we allowed it! We need to fight both parties to stop this because right now all they do is use the media to blast each other for 2 years trying to get into office ... not once has the right gone along on a thing and this will bite them in the back side because we are growing tired of that. Not once has the left done what they promised of job creation, but rather they have to fight big business to try to pass anything. Healthcare costs us more than any other nation because we are dumb enough to pay twice as much as any other nation for an MRI machine.. proven fact and those in mgmt in healthcare responded with "oh, we didn't know, and didn't know we could negotiate prices " or "so, we pass on the costs"... This is not the way to run a nation in a competitive market. We need to get over our spats about party lines and wake up to the fact that our incomes PER the LABOR dept have been dropping for decades.. now who do we blame that one.. lets see both parties have been in office thru out that time.. hmmm There is a great website to visit that tells it like it is on both parties if you can handle the truth... factcheck.org neither party is worth our respect and neither party is hitler or trying to turn us into a socialist nation.. that just makes people mad it does not make people work together. Both parties are on the payrolls of big business however, and that is what we should be fighting about is the power business has over our government that controls OUR MONEY! If people would stop blaming each other or obama or bush and get on with the real problems I think we could turn this train wreck around.... if not, well then lets just argue about who is the best or the worse and never get a darn thing done.
