    Question

I recieved my discharge on 11/23/09. Today in the mail I received and order of dismissal from an attorney for a credit card company (they had filed suit). The letter is asking a Circuit Judge for approval to "dismiss the cause of action w/o prejudice". What the heck does that mean?

They dropped the suit because you filed BK. They had no choice.

However, it is without prejudice. This means that later, if your BK is found to be fraudulent or is dismissed, they can pursue you again. That is very rare, and the only reason I can think of it would ever resume.

In other words, it is good news.

    Grats.
