We so often forget the real values in life when we are caught up in financial crisis. I have lived in my community many years and abide by "contribute what you can and do no harm". Last few days i am shattered beyond anything that money can fix.
Last Saturday an entire family was killed when they were hit by a suspected drunk driver running a red light at 90mph. Their van was rendered unrecognizable. These were good people. Good Americans.
And now their house has been burglarized too. Some scum helped them selves to their possessions while everyone was mourning. It's a very tragic story.
Well I maybe broke, but broke as I am, I will contribute what meager funds as I can gather to help out the poor teenage girl who survives her family. I am only one person removed and I care. That's what community is about.
I know we're all broke here, but even a prayer would help. And i hope i haven't offended anyone.
