    Saturn Is History

GM had hopes to sell this brand of car to Penske but that's out now.
I guess the poor folks that work in TN in that new plant they built will be joining us here in numbers.
Sad. I just heard on CNN that Detroit's unemployment rate is so bad that the morgue has unclaimed bodies in the freezer that people cannot afford to bury due to the 28% unemployment rate.
    When will this all end?

One of my co-workers use to live in pontiac mi, she said her folks home up there was 86,000.00 they just sold it for 16,000.00... yikes. I would say depression in the word for it. I am afraid it will only get worse. The great depression did not have unemployment, SS, or a lot of the safety nets that we have today. But on the other hand they had a war, and they had manufacturing to put people back to work. Here, they close them down, like Maytag and Cat and they ship them overseas. Without job growth it will get worse. I for one will be happy to not have any payments when this is over with. I don't think the bottom has totally fallen out yet in my life, and I know I can not afford to pay todays prices. At least I will be happy and able to move if I need to for a roof over my head...

Glad someone answered the question on why this WON'T end?"

Hrx answered for tens of millions of people on why Detroit is in a depression and why the rest of us may follow.

Make a product or provide a service that most people like and the bad news will end.

I've never owned a Saturn, but my niece today was hysterical about the news. She has a 1999 Saturn SL2 with over 170K miles which she always claimed she would drive into the ground. She does maintain it very well, much better than I maintain my own car. Her Saturn shows no sign of dying anytime soon!

Before that she had some kind of Ford (can't remember the model) which disappointed her from the day she took it home, brand new, from the dealer. She claims her Saturn made her a believer in GM.

I didn't dare ask her what her next vehicle would be. She was too upset!
BK 7 filed and discharged in 2004 after 30+ years of perfect credit. Life HAPPENS.
