Who can forecast the weather accurately this year?

    Not the Weather Channel!

The weatherman could predict the weather within a 99% accuracy for a minimum of 2 or 3 days in a row every day, all year long. This was before we even had computers as well. All of the sudden, the weather channel in 2009, decides it will predict a forecast that is 100% wrong every day for the entire spring and summer seasons. This would be ok with me, if on the following day they admitted they forecasted wrong. I have talked with a quite afew about this and one man told me that Father Nature was upset with the balance and he was taking charge giving Mother Nature a rest this year. Could this be why they cannot predict anything accurately this year?
Is it global climate change or something else? Did the weather channel get the stupid bug?

I mean, this has always been a reputable station since its conception and forecasting the weather has always been easy and fairly correct with everyone who did it, but come on now. If you cant do the job then stop pretending like you are actually doing it right for a paycheck only. Admit it at least once. I don't know if other channels are getting the forecast at least 50% right or not and, I am going to have to find out now. The internet version has become worse than cnn & fox. It is on my desktop as a shortcut!

I will hear the whole week before and up to 20 hours before their forecast happens, 0% chance rain, and sunny for more 3 more days after that. And then one hour before the pic nic they change the forecast to, flash flood warning, or 90% chance of rain, 50 mile an hour winds, or you know the tornado siren starts blowing as everything on your porch and lawn goes flying, and then it rains for 6 hours straight, just down pours on your 6 month planned pic nic

The Weather Channel and weather.com provide a national and local weather forecast for cities, as well as weather radar, report and hurricane coverage

I can do about as well by flipping a coin. Heads it will rain, tails it won't.

it amazes me. If I was wrong 75% of time at my job I would be fired. I always look at the radar. So many times they have called for a sunny day, only to have it rain.

It will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain for the rest of your life.

Sunday afternoon I checked weather.com 0% chance of rain & low in the mid 70's. 1 AM thunder woke me up. And then our whole house was lit - Lightning after Lightning. It stormed again around 2 & lit the house up. It started again at 4:10 am & that's when I decided it was time for Coffee.

My girlfriend spent the night with me & she forgot to raise up the passenger side of my Van. We got in it yesterday at around 11 and when she got out about 10 min. later, she said uh my shorts are wet. I felt the seat. It was completely wet.

I don't know if it was the wind or lightning, but I noticed my neighbor's car two doors up had a big ole limb on the back of her pretty white Saturn.

I think the Professors of the Weather School all retired and the 'newbies' haven't been trained. Gotta blame it on Someone or Something

That is a good point I had not considered. They come out of college with only textbook knowledge, no reality or experience and put online what they think it should be instead of paying attention. It was all pretty well and good though, until just the last few months they know nothing about weather.

I watched the 4th of July approach & up to 10 days prior, there was not a drop of rain to be had up to and 3 days past the date. It was still good in the morning of the 4th and then all of the sudden out of the blue at about 1pm with no explanation a huge 6 hour rain storm appears and the odd thing is the storm moved in a southerly direction, several of us ended up stranded on boats for the night because of the dense fog that moved in, which they also had no clue about.

I need to find one of the old timers who isn't retired yet because this new bunch are a load of flakes. Perhaps they all think they are hollywood movie stars and all that primping and polishing for their hair & clothes is more important than studying the weather after grad school. That is a good possibility.

exactly. and it did not used to be that way. We used to have experts in the field who were always right & rarely got it wrong.
