The heat of Phoenix has started to get to me, and work has slowed down to almost a standstill, so I'm packing up my truck and heading up to Oregon to visit relatives in Eugene, Portland, and Florence, and mooch off of them for awhile. Futons and sofas! Get ready! Here I come!

I live in Southern Oregon and we are finally getting some decent weather, been mid 80's the last couple of days and the thunderstorms and rain have finally stopped! We have already gotten twice as much rain as we normally do for June and the month is only half over!!Comment

Hey mate good luck but I have a lot of friends up in Washington/Oregon/British Columbia and its not so good there either these days with the economy, lot of tech lay offs.

Yeah, forgot to add that the job market sucks here in Grants Pass Oregon (southern oregon) we are at a 12.4% unemployement rate. My husband is lucky though, they laid people off and now they are short handed so he gets to work 50 hours a week!!Comment

Oh I know! That's why I try to spend as much time along the beaches where it is almost always cool. I've never experienced a hot day in Florence, Oregon. The ocean breezes seem to moderate the temperature quite a bit.
