    Golden Retrievers are the BEST!

I would have chosen one, except we were offered a free Deutchland Lambwatcher that came with all of it's puppy shots already. All the goldens I saw were about 1200.00 around here.

We had one and he passed at 15 a couple years ago, he was the kindest, sweetest absolute best dog ever.

So kind hearted, he passed in his sleep in his bed, we never had the make the "decision" and he wasn't sick when he died, wasn't suffering, I think he may have just had a heart attack or something. I woke up in the morning and he was gone. I still get tear-y eyed when I think of him.

I highly recommend a Golden Retriever.

Oh, yeah, remember BF Tickle Pink?

YUM! Like drinkin koolaid with a buzz!

Funny...actually either I was too young or too drunk to remember all the flavor varieties of BF. True that they taste like koolaid and you get a little buzz.

Right now I can get a free Golden Retriever with papers but she is 6 months old. I'm actually wanting a just-weaned one so that my 21 month old son can play with a little fur ball. We do have a 6 year old Golden Retriever (named Elvis) and he also needs a companion so I wanted another one. If I shop around, I can probably get one for about $100 with papers. But...I know...I know...I need to watch my money. So I may have to go for that 6 month old that is free.

Sorry to get you all teary-eyed about your dog. If/when something happens to Elvis, I will feel the same way. He's just sooooo sweet!

      BF CHEERS!

I would happily pay 100 for 6 months of puppyness, especially little bitty fur ball GR puppyness. Plus the bond you get with having them so young is amazing.

And the pictures/video with your son, priceless.

(I feel a Visa commercial coming on)

Don't forget to check your shelters! So many people have had to abandon animals (I can't imagine it but I guess if it's down to feeding your kid or your dog) or have had to move into housing that doesn't allow pets.

Both of my current furballs are shelter adoptees. They are starting to have more purebreds and puppies based on the above.

Ifonly- thanks, I will look into the shelters as well for a puppy. I forgot about Mad Dog 20/20...whoa...I can't even handle hangovers anymore...

BF Strawberry Hill and Sangria... like Kool Aid that got us drunk....

Check with the Golden Retriever Rescue for a puppy. I'm sure they've got loads right now. My dog is a Golden/Australian Shepherd... My Golden Aussie is the coolest dog ever!

Go to www.petfinder.com to see what is available in your area. Most rescues and shelters put their adoptable animals on there.
