My laugh for the day came from Citi

I have two cards that are managed by Citi, one I put on auto-pay a couple of months ago and the other is about 45 days late.

Today UPS delivered a 2nd Day package from Citi that contained a letter. They are thanking me for my continued payments, on the temporary payment arrangement, and are pleased to inform me that I am eligable for a special offer that will allow me to reopen my Citi Card Account, at a competitive interest rate, upon completion of the payment arrangement.

Of course it is a limited time offer and I must contact them right away to take advantage of it.

I laughed, then shredded the letter!

I swear Citi is the the most messed up company I have dealt with. They are so disorganized! They have no idea what department is doing what. My Citi account should be closed - I still get balance transfer offers through email and the mail.

When our B of A account went 30 days late, they sent a 2nd day fedex letter offering us a debt consolidation loan to assist us with our "temporary financial crisis". They made the same offer a month later on the phone after I told him that we had retained an attorney. They seemed dumbfounded because we had never been late before. I was dumbfounded that they wanted to loan us more money. It was hilarious.

I think the 2nd Day delivery was the thing that really tipped it into the crazy funny category. It's amazing that they are not the only ones doing that.
