I am a HUGE AI fan, watching since first season. Sorry, Adam Lambert I feel should have won as he is more talented, vocally and otherwise. Chris is going to fade as Taylor Hicks did. Adam would have not. I feel all the reportson him being gay worked against him which is a shame in today's world. Adam rocked tonight with Kiss on the stage...former Kiss Army fan here - LOL!_________________________________________

I agree Flamingo, but I don't think Adam will have a problem after this! Daughtry didn't win and look where he is today

Big disappointment, I wanted Adam to win! I planned on watching AI when I got home, but I was listening to KFI on my drive home and they ANNOUNCED it on the air BEFORE the West Coast airing! I was soooo bummed...I won't be watching it tonight after all.... I agree, I think Adam will do fine without AI...May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs

Did anyone notice that Simon Cowell did not stand up as the other three judges did when Chris Allen was announced the winner? He knows how fast this one is gonna fade as I think Chris himself knows along with many others. Who remembers Jordan Sparks, Taylor Hicks, Fantasia, etc. Most to get by sing at state fairs or do a stint on Broadway. Those not under contract with AI when winning seem to do the best. You can bet there were folks that evening with contracts in hand for Adam and I'll bet Simon Cowell was one of them. While AI propels an unknown into the spotlight, fame is fleeting for most of them but the main thing is most of the finalists will now have some sort of career to give them a comfortable life if they play it right._________________________________________

Well, I remember Jordin Sparks, and I didn't even watch that season! She actually does well.
But! In regards to last night, I truly believe that it will be better for Adams career that he didn't win. If I understand correctly (which isn't always the case), the only contractual obligations he has now to AI is that he do the tour, and that he can not release an album before the winner releases theirs. While there might also be something that might dictate who he can sign with immediately, he will not have the rules of AI winner pushed down his throat. Such as first released single is that hideous song!
And even if Simon was dismayed last night, he will be in the right frame of mind this morning. The rightness of it all will smack him in his arrogant face. Of course he will spin it as what he wanted to happen all along.

I haven't been watching it but it is very big here in MKE where i live because of that Danny Gokey guy who was from MKE. People go nuts over that stuff here. They had a whole day for the guy when he came back for a visit.
I remember when the American Idol first came out and I looked into and I said "This is just like "Star Search" back in the 80s" but I think they had more interesting categories back than (except for "spokemodel" ha ha). Brought back memories of Ed McMahon and goofy 80s dance troups."I broke, I broke, it's off to Chapter 7 I go"

I believe Adam was the bigger talent. I don't think coming in second will hurt his career any. I actually believe he may be better off as the runner up. It's possible he will have several offers to chose from.
I feel sorry for Kris Allen. It's not his fault the voting public got it wrong and it had to be hard to enjoy your victory with all the publicity surrounding it.Obtained attorney 4-27-2009

I'm glad Kris won. I picked him as my favorite back in the top 13. I didn't think he would make it because he was too low key. He has a great voice, a nice personality, and he has the good looks to go far. He won't fade away like Taylor Hicks. Adam had a great voice, but I never felt "connected" to him

Geez I guess I missed this poll
I really never got the Kris thing. He just didn't do anything for me at all..So I thought it was riduculous that he was in the top 10...
But as far as Adam coming in 2nd? Thats just a number and I'm actually glad he came in second. Why because he won't be a slave to American Idol for a year in a contract. His guy is way tooo good for that. Kris will really need that contract and after that...??? Kris who?
Adam needs to have his pick of who he wants to go with and he will have his pick, thats for sure. This guy gave me goosebumps and tears when I heard him sick some of those songs....My God he is amazing...
