More dealerships for cars closing

My bad, thanks for the correction! It was Corona, not Corolla. People (me included) used to make fun of them back in the 70's. Little did we know!

I did a little research out of curiosity and it seems that the COROLLA was introduced in the US in 1968. Now I'm not sure which I am actually referring to, the Corona or the Corolla. Back then I think they were both boxy and flimsy-looking. My first Toyota was a 1982 Corolla.

I think I was in a Army a few years later when the Corolla came out. It was lighter, less power and a little cheaper than the Corona was then.
The Corona's were quite a revolution at the time they came out and just like Honda's for sales a few years later.
All the dealers had to do was take deposits and wait for the cars to come in and it didn't matter what color they were. There weren't a lot of options you could get. Stick or auto and all ACs were added by the dealer.
Even though I did not like driving them as a kid, 4 years later I bought one too while in the Army for the MPG.
