How boring is your job?

I have mostly never found work to be fulfilling and am envious when others find it so rewarding (I mean besides money). I worked for several companies that had no problem downsizing after a year or one time 3 months.

Why get attached, you know?
Why put so much stock in that aspect of my life, you know?

I actually have a pretty cool job. I get to go from place to place as a private homeschooling teacher all day. I love my kids and my bosses.

I actually love my job, believe it or not, and there is nothing boring about it. I have been working on a child psych unit for 9 years. Every day is an adventure!

How boring is your job?

Right now, my job is pretty boring. I have been working for the same employer for the past nine years working a 12 hour night shift. My schedule is Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday.

I have been in the same area since day 1 and pretty much know everything there is to know.

Since the economy took a dive, things have been pretty dead around here and not having anything to do can make a 12 hour shift feel like an eternity.

Thank God for the Internet, but even then, you can only do so much online.

They actually took away a lot of our Internet privileges because people have abused it by looking at porn, gambling, playing games, ect...

For those of us who have limited internet access, I actually found a way around it back in December. I bought myself a thumb drive and installed Mozilla's portable browser on it. All I have to do is install the thumb drive, open the Mozilla folder and click on the browser and boom, instant internet access.

Anyone else have a boring job like me???

I work in property management and enjoy my position. I have a different schedule during "season" vs. off season. I try to help my unit owner's solve their problems to the best of my ability. This summer I do unit checks on over 75 units twice a month which gets me out of my office. We also have our summer projects going on outside in the units as well as some projects of my own to keep busy. Everyone thinks just because no one's around that it's slow...it's not, we stay busy during the summer too.

And, with the way the economy is, I'm very happy to still be employed!
