    Back Property taxes??

Received a letter from CW. They will be paying our back property taxes. We are also in a loan modification program.
So will the back taxes be added to the outstanding principal or some outlandish escrow account.
Thank you for your help in advance,

The back taxes get added to your escrow account. So if you do not have enough in the escrow it goes negative, the lender pays the taxes and then bills you for the taxes due plus increases the escrow so this years taxes can be paid.

If you are surrendering the house - the point is moot. The taxes are discharged along with the mortgage

Its possible that they will since you are doing a modification...... any and all back owed payments, property tax or insurance (that they pay for you) will all be rolled into the modification.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.
