    How about another 500-700 billion?

Do you think Obama will ever realize that a false economy is a false economy?
That means the money does not exist.

All we need to do is keep the 5 to 7 hundred billion circulating in the USA for a short period of time to get things rolling again and it will work. As tax revenues increase then they should pay down the debt. Sorry I am sleep walking, it's late.
They will spend the money and the 2.5 million jobs will be created everywhere but here and we will be in even more debt. Now I am having a nightmare. Please wake me up I can't take it. It's like dreaming of being back in school in my underwear.

What do you think Dr. Evil would say about this? 5 to 7 times what he is asking for.

I love the way they all laugh about that amount of money not existing in 1969. LOL

You could be president, banca rotta.
I remember those dreams, only I was in a towel sitting at one of those desks.

Sadly no amount of money will stabilize the economy. To stabilize the economy you have to first let it fail.

The problem is it is an unrealistic bubble created by a debt level that cannot be sustained on any level. In truth we need to learn to do with less rather than more, and the sooner we discover that truth the better for our nation, our friends, our familes and our neighbors.

I think this is at the root of the problem. I know many of you can empathize with me here, but when my wife and I's finances went down the toilet, we have to step back and really look at what was important.

              Food - Check
              Roof - Check
              Utilities - Check
Car - Check (no mass transit around here)
              Eating out - Nope
Satellite TV with 893,287 channels - Nope
Basic Cable with Basic Internet - Check
New clothes once a month - Nope
              Fancy cell phone - Nope
              Latest electronic gadgets - Nope

And the list goes on, but you get the drift. I think our nation as a whole needs to take a step back and look at our lifestyles and learn to live within our means. I think what our country is going through will be rough, but hopefully it will serve as a reality check that not everybody in this country can buy $200k houses, $40k cars, and 50" plasma screens.

AMEN allavdj. I'm enjoying cooking and creating new recipes that uses leftovers as opposed to eating out every night. Eating out used to be the norm, but dining out is now only reserved for special occasions.

I also love my 6 year old car that I plan to drive for at least another 4 years and my house needs work, but it's safe and clean and I'm paying less each month than most people pay for rent around here.

I've gone back to my mom's philosophy: If I can't pay cash for it, I either save to buy it or leave it where it is.
