What Walmart should have done was to get security guards to stand behind the door, count out 100 people, and let those in first. Whenever banks fail and people line up at the door to close out their accounts guards let in a certain # of people. Several months ago when Indymac went bellyup several thousand lined up around the block, and everything was orderly. 100 people every 2-3 minutes would have prevented this tragedy.

Very true but jurys typically like to "stick it to the big guys and help the little guys" right or wrong.
Walmart maybe better off working on a generous settlement since most potential jurors in a civil case already made up there minds long before the trial.
Im certain if any of you were selected as a juror you would already award the plaintiff a huge settlement. The essence of freedom is the proper limitation of Government

this is a good enough reason to stop shopping for christmas presents. people are too greedy, mean, rude, obnoxious at those stores & that is why I gave up the holiday retail lie & instead, give things all year long.
If you dont get stomped on & killed in the store, you are sure to get hit & run by some greedy scrooge in the parking lot. To Wanda, To Wanda.

Just think of the potential bankruptcy situations ready to occur after this holiday season? I'm sure there's a lot of people out there using their cc's to the max and then, POOF! The inability to pay.....and to think, someone died over it....boycott this greed!Filed Oct 2005discharged February 2007,Shapeless in the fire's glow, tell me if you think you know,

I don't have the money to shop anyway, but this is why I've always avoided the big crowds, especially on black Friday. I'd rather enjoy my day off at home.
I feel sorry for the family of the man who was killed. It's a shame when a man was killed so that an angry mob can save a couple bucks.Filed Chapter 7 (Primarily Business Expenses) 04/10/2008 FICO 468

WhatMoney, I think you are my long-lost ideological Siamese twin.
The thing is, the original founder must be jumping in his grave at the sight of what his vision has become. Sam Walton was indeed a very nice man. Can't say the same for his heirs and the travesty they have made of his original philosophy.BK 7 filed and discharged in 2004 after 30+ years of perfect credit. Life HAPPENS.
