Yeah, I'm fixing to haul "buggy" here in a little while and enjoy a 4-day too like most of us......

I feel sorry for all of you that have to work over a holiday...... I've paid my dues too in the past..... and you often feel left-out of everything.

Enjoy as much as you can even though you have to work.....

I am on call tomorrow, and even though we have not worked ALL WEEK The mean doctor has put on a case for Friday. The heart team is the only one working. No one else of the other doctors posted routine cases for Friday.

Hey Minnie, I was just thinking of you. We are doing the holiday at my MILs this year. Since hubby and I are the best off financially of the lot right now ( and we are by no means well off, I just have wiggle room in my budget since the 13 is over. One sister and bro in law are both on minimal disability, the other's hub is disabled but was always self employed and didn't pay ss, so they get nothing) I volunteered to do the ham. I bought a whole ham and cooked it today. I just got through slicing it, and it shredded off the bone into these yummy looking bits. I thought of ham and dumplings and have already frozen the bone and bits that were just so tiny or fatty that I didn't want to serve them. I wouldn't have thought of Ham/Dumplings if it hadn't been for the posts way way back on stretching your meals, when you posted about ham and dumplings. Least I remember that it was you. If it was someone else, I appologize and blame it on the glass of muscadine wine I have been sipping over the past hour.

        Happy Thanksgiving to everyone everywhere.

        Vicky

Yep - I'm the ham and dumplings/ and soup bean and dumplings lady......

We need to find the receipes on here and bring them back up on a sticky and let folks add their favorites to the list.

          I'll do some searching.......
