HAHAHAHAAA!! I was SOOOOO ready to correct you, and darn, you faked me out!

OK, I am there now I have two requests for eggnog and the kids turned in their "stocking stuffer" list. Wow, they surprise me Kids are not dumb!

We have snow for the first time in my life! I think decorating a tree outside would be oh so awesome!

You have been a lot of fun since we started the countdown, BROKENN . I laugh everytime you pop in.
I bought some eggnog before thanksgiving & have been drinking some on the weekends with rum or whiskey.

The first time for snow for you? Wow! I did go on my traditional drive to look at the lights but will need to go back because I went too early, except for the lighting of the lights on State Street. I could not believe that was scheduled on my 341 date. How lucky could I be, not to mention that Obama was in the building right next to me that day. Four cops at every intersection for a mile, 30 bucks to park.... I was so over that.

I do agree that the lights on the bushes & houses do look better in the snow. I think because of the way it reflects the light. About 8 years ago I won first place in my district here doing that with lights all over the place. I bought a set of blue LED lights this year. The simplest things give me a charge.

They actually make a list for the stocking stuffers? Can you get it all in there without ripping the seams? LOL!! I know you will enjoy Christmas Eve with those bundles of joy & then seeing their smiles in the morning. Very nice

I love the little things too.... sometimes I play with people for pure entertainment because that is the spark for the day.

I truly want to see the lights on the snow. I am serious about decorating a pine tree that lives outside!!!

        WELL DONE ON YOUR WIN!!

I guess I didn't clarify. They are teenagers with many wants and desires, but alas they are smart buggers and knew I was poor. One has a job at the mall now and the other an interview tomorrow. The stocking stuffers was the small priced gifts they listed

So one more big work project for me to go and then it is .........
        FULL ON CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

          FULL ON CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!
I am so glad to see others are going to enjoy Christmas even through a difficult year. Dont put too many lights & ornaments on your outdoors pine tree, just in case you get a blizzard that buries it until Easter, then you will be out there on 4th of July taking the lights off when it comes time to hedge it. I can't tell you how many times I have cut through lights with the hedger in the summer forgetting I had them on the bushes in the winter

You would really enjoy the library here. They put out about a dozen real pine trees, each representing a different elementary shool. Each tree/school has a theme & every kid makes an ornament to put on the tree. That is a very neat thing to see.

You remind me of the first year I was in California. I thought touching a palm tree on christmas day was the bomb.

No nativity scene in D.C. this year.

No great surprise really, but the Supreme Court ruled last week that there cannot be a Nativity scene in Washington , D.C. this Christmas. This is not for any religious or constitutional reason; they simply have been unable to find three wise men and a virgin in the nation's capitol.

There was no difficulty, however, filling the stable with asses.

Only 2 weeks and 2 days til Christmas.

            Woo Hoo!

Okay, back to the Holidays and all the fun.................

                  Tree- decorated
                  Yard - decorated
                  Inside of house - decorated
                  Gifts bought & wrapped
                  Candy/cookies/brownies - all baked

Now its time to SIT BACK, ENJOY THE HOLIDAY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS...........

Now that MY LIFE is back on track, many of my friends are facing BK themselves or are in the process.....

I've told all of them, no gifts this year, lets just all get together, and enjoy being with each other. No sense being stressed out about buying gifts with money we don't have!!!!

So we are "pooling our resources", wrapped a BUNCH of inexpensive gifts for the kids to all open, and plan on spending the day together...

HURRY HOME SANTA...........MOMMA IS WAITING ON YOU!!!!!

I will be baking cookies and fudge before the big day.

We are staying home this year, the past 4 yrs we have gone to see family.

Disney again? You should move in. I bet it looks real cool at Christmas time.
There is an amusement park that used to be called Santa Clause Town in a town called Santa Clause and it was Christmas all year round there, in the southern part of Indiana. I dont know if it is still there.

So you are waiting for Santa to come too? I guess you are momma?

Did you get any snow yet? One channel said people could get at least one inch of snow on christmas morning through the south & lower midwest.

I am in agreement about the gifts. If I ever know someone going BK or having a hard time I would just get them a home made gift, because I know that will mean more than any store bought gift & they wont feel the pressure of not having a lot of money at this time, with exception of course for the little children...they all need something fun to unwrap from Santa.
