Watch Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I used to have them as my health insurer, and they tend to reject every claim the first time through until you fight them on it (be sure to know exactly what your policy says about what they will cover) and then you resubmit claims, they reject about half after your initial fight, you have to call them up and fight them again, they'll finally process them, etc. It's a game with them, if you get tired of fighting it or don't realize they should be paying more, they win. If eventually they have to pay what they rightly owed, they still were able to hold onto the money for an extra 6 months during the back and forth battles, so they still win because doing that on a large scale allows them to earn interest on a bunch of money that should have been paid out in claims months earlier. I was VERY glad when my employer switched to a different insurance company.Filed CH 13 September 17, 2007

We currently have BC/BS PPO through my comapny now and they are switching to Etna next year, I pay 400 per month for myself and my husband, and I am very nervous the costs will be higher next year.
But as someone else posted, it's the lesser of two evils.Filed Chapter 13 05/23/08
