BK was never part of my vocabulary. And then all of a sudden one day I realized the financial mistakes I made, that I couldn't pay, and I'd never get ahead much less be able to pay everything off. Growing up- I never heard the word - BK.
It is absolutely surreal to me that I discharged 80k. I still can't believe it even though it's true.
Big BIG lessons learned. Now I look at how I spend every penny....every dollar. And I've cut way way way back on a lot of unneccesary spending. I still have student loans that need to be paid so I'm thinking about a part time job to help accomplish this so that I can actually get ahead and start accumulating an emergency fund. I was never a cheap person but now I'm proud to say that I am 'cheap'....lol.
But seriously - while I'm totally estatic over this, I still can't believe it. Yeah - filing was a lot of work But then poof....all gone. Unreal albeit true.
Thank GOD and thank you all so much (site Mods & Owner) for this site which educated me and enabled me to file pro-se (with confidence) and also to the many people who helped me by responding to my questions. Bkforum.com is most definately the best public service website where bankruptcy is concerned. I hope that every person considering filing will find this site before seeking an attorney - just so that they can be educated in the process.
