Well, just earlier this year, I had a terrible job. Was scarred to death, but I quit it. I felt like such a loser. Didn't know what was out there with the poor economy.
Within a week, I landed a new job. Within a week after that, I had about 6 job offers. I ended up working 3 of the jobs since then.
Since about last month, I told one of my employers that I was going to pull back some because their rate of pay was not any near what the other companies were paying me. They understood.
Then just end of last month, I saw a job posting for my dream job.
Even though I was quite satisfied with my current job situation, I applied anyway.
Long story short, I went to the interview today. I knocked the ball out of the park. The interviewers stepped out to confir my interview answers. Not 15 seconds later, they re-entered the room. I was shocked. Was offered the job right on the spot! I ousted two other qualified candidates that had interviewed before me.
I start on Monday. I've been waiting for an opportunty for 4 years now to get a job in this particular field!
I'm really happy...
As of now, I'll be racking up 5 W-2's for next tax season...LOL
