Goodnight, or good morning everyone. After reading and watching all of this information that I posted, I have questions about the official version of 9/11.

        How about you?

Well of course I have questions. I really don't trust the government at all. Things like the fact that there was a terror warning issued abroad shortly before, but we never heard about it in the states. And I really wonder why in all the videos I saw that 2nd plane appeared to be a very dark plane, not silver like most of the commercial airliners I have seen.

But the first post was about the 2nd plane. I saw too many different videos of the second plane flying in to question that one did hit.

It is not a yawn for people who lost their lives & loved ones. That is what many people saw.

This will go on for decades. If you pay attention, it is about the media altering what they showed the public and we want to know why.

Of course it was there. why would they show us an altered video on the news?

                  Correct.

So why would they show us footage that had been tampered with? Where was the camera when they lied it about being a chopper camera? You could see the roof. What building there allows that?

Too many unanswered questions & lies. I certainly do not trust governments either.

                    Which official version?

                    The George Bush one?

I have many questions and our own government does not even know the answers. That is a problem.

I am absolutely cetain that the TV coverage was live, it was around 9am break with about 60 other people in the break room in front of the TV. No questions asked.

I think you are missing the point. The plane being there is not what is being questioned.

I cried when I saw on tv the people jumping to their deaths on 9/11. However, I do not think it is wrong to question the official version of 9/11. In fact, I feel that it honours and cherishes the memory of the deaths of 9/11 by asking questions and thinking. Furthermore, what about the deaths and maimings in the Middle East by this War?

I think that our very liberty is at stake here. I don't think that being concerned about liberty and freedom should be automatically dismissed and viewied as having too much time on one's hand. A true patriot is always skeptical of a government, any government. It is actually important and vital to the memory of the victims of 9/11 to research and ask questions about 9/11, not to just forget about it and move on. So let's not resort to ad hom attacks but question and think about things reasonably without any name calling or dismissals just because someone is a pot smoker or musician or actor or actress or "conspiracy theorist" or heaven forbid, a citizen. Should a citizen not be allowed to question her or his government?

                        ....
Agreed. Some people remind me of the boiling frogs. We have every right to ask questions and as many as it takes.

                        Here is one for you-

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

It's one thing to be skeptical, but it is quite another to abandon reason. In essence, there is reasonable skepticism and then there is just cynicism.

Conspiracy theories have the same basic pattern.

An event happens, then subsequent events occur as a result of that event that some people disagree with; so those people create the conspiracy theories as a means of protest, abandon their reason, and re-write the history. There are variations to the pattern, but in general conspiracy theories always follow the same backward reason...these types of theories are NEVER a careful and thorough assembly and research of facts to draw a conclusion; instead, a conclusion is agreed upon (based on unproven underlying assumptions) and then the facts are made to fit that conclusion.

For a simple example, as was already stated in here, if you are skeptical of the government and then make the further assumption that the "official" government account cannot be right (because the government is never right), you have already made up your mind and now you are just finding whatever you can to support that position. You are NOT being skeptical, you already have drawn your conclusion. That is how all loony conspiracy theories work. There is always some background assumption that fuels the theory, that prevents any fact that is contrary to that assumption from being accepted (i.e. the government always lies, the media is controlled by xyz, etc), once you base your viewpoint on these types of unsupported assumptions, you are no longer objective. Also, skepticism itself, rarely proves anything, skepticism asks questions, but what happens in conspiracy theories is that no explanation is acceptable unless it fits with the already assumed criteria. Thus, any explanation that would result in the "official" version being correct is automatically dismissed because it doesn't fit the twisted world view of the conspiracy theorists which has nothing to do with fact.

In my view, the 9/11 conspiracy theories are a form of war protest. They are against the war in Iraq or whatever, and therefore, they back track history to undermine its justification.

If you cannot explain it yourself, then the conspiracy theory argument does not cut it. While I agree that thought pattern does exist, if you cannot prove them wrong, then their theory is just as valid as anyone else.

HHM, why dont you comment on the content of the video itself. Is it because you also do not have the answer for why the news would show tampered footage? And you do not have the answer to the questions?

If you don't have the answer it is ok to admit that.

I am sure there are plenty of people behind the war but also question 9-11 & rightfully so. Sweeping the valid questions under the rug does not prove anything ....so give the questions asked on the video your best shot & I am sure your best shot is better than the conspiracy theory oxymoron.

and so do lies and unanswered questions over big events have their own basic patterns.

Why dont you ask george bush about what he said when asked if he knew about it before it happened? he answered three times "a time for politics".
