    I'm outta here!

I've had about enough of trying to help people out around here and getting shot down. The only reason I've posted after discharge is to try to prevent other above-median filers from being blown away when their petitions are scrutinized by the UST.

All of you who believe that "anything goes" in the BK courts and that I'm spreading fear by advising people to play it safe... that the things that happened in my case are "urban legend"... good luck to you!

I'll only say this... how many of you had a statement of presumed abuse filed in your case and were able to do what was necessary to prevent dismissal/conversion? I can think of only one or two besides myself in this forum.

My last advice... be honest, be humble, and know that you are not entitled to discharge. You're asking the court for help. Be truthful and you'll get it.

Help, did I miss something? I don't think anyone on this forum means any harm. Maybe some folks have a different take on things based on there state. I know that my state UST was probable more easy on BK filers thatn other states, from what I have read here.
You are right You are not entitled.

      Help!,

Sorry you're so frustrated! Your advice is greatly valued and from what I've learned from posting on various advice forums, is it's always best to pick and choose who you responding to. Keep in mind, if someone is posting INSANE posts that do not make sense or extend far beyond your value system, ignore that person and instead use your time providing more valuable advice to those who want to listen. You're not obligated to answer every question out there.

Personally, I think we're ALL trying to beat the system in one form or another. If we do not do that, they system will instead beat US DOWN! Gotta fight "the man." lol But, honestly, when a person is posting all kinds of crazy posts and talking of gambling on a ch. 7 forum, it's hard not to get entirely pissed off when that person is starting to annoy you!

Just take a few day break and IGNORE any members here who annoy you!!! lol

Hope you have a good weekend.

I was wondering the same thing. I've always seen you be very helpful. I wasn't aware that anyone had been critical of your advise. However, I don't read every single thread.

I'll admit their are plenty of members on this site that annoy me and plenty of others that I find to be very knowledgable and supportive. I don't respond to those who only wish to argue and annoy. I state my opinion once or twice then leave it be if my opinion isn't recieved. I don't personally know people on this board. I would like to think that my opinion is valued as we all do, but if someone doesn't care for what I have to say I don't take it personally.

Sorry I missed whatever this is about and I hope you'll stick around.

Which is exactly why you should stay! You offer a very valuable and different outlook on the whole BK process. You are living proof that it is not always a walk in the park.

All of you who believe that "anything goes" in the BK courts and that I'm spreading fear by advising people to play it safe... that the things that happened in my case are "urban legend"... good luck to you!
Because of your experience you are entitled to spread a little fear. Its posters like yourself I think that offer the most. A big reminder to those that might try to hide or beat the system that they best be able to back up EVERYTHING with proof. Because even 100% honest filers like yourself sometimes have to defend their entire lives. You were able to do that and after much stress finally made it through. No urban legend there! I have read every single one of your posts!!!

I'll only say this... how many of you had a statement of presumed abuse filed in your case and were able to do what was necessary to prevent dismissal/conversion? I can think of only one or two besides myself in this forum.
While I have not gone through this, I can say that your posts and experiences have made me all the more thankful for how fairly straight and easy my bk has been (knock on wood). I personally thank you for allowing me to see that I am very lucky. I also thank you for your gentle reminder to others about what can happen. Thats not trying to cause fear but called 'opening eyes'. Keeping this whole process extremely serious as it should be. .

I cannot imagine what it was like for you. But you have succeeded!!!! and you offer others in your situation so much!

I don't know what happened but try not to take it personal. Going through the process now I know emotions can run very high. THe whole process is SO stressful.

Sometimes people can forget there is another person on the other side of the computer with feelings. Don't take it personal and keep on posting

What the heck happened? While I think we all agree that your case may not necessarily be the norm everywhere, I for one still very much value the knowledge gained from your experience and pray that you are staying...don't go!!! I am above-median and feel much more prepared based on the knowledge gained from your experience, so I thank you

For anyone out there who thinks Help is spreading urban legends or fear, you are sadly mistaken...shooting someone down at every turn because you are in denial that something like her case could happen to you is just plain ignorant on your part.

                          Stay, stay. stay.

These posts should show you that we are all here to support.

All the advice on here should be used individually and I like to hear from personal experiences.

The rules I can figure out for myself or ask my attorney, personal experience is priceless.
Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

                              Help,

I understand your frustration. I'm haven't even been discharged yet and I am ready to stop posting advice.

I am tired of people asking questions they really don't want the answers to. And once you post your thoughts on the situation, they get an attitude with you over it. I could have been snarky to them in the posts but I wasn't. I am way too old to be beating around a bush for an adult.

Maybe you should take a break from the board, which I am thinking about doing.

I have enjoyed all your posts and I think you are pretty cool.
