I was wondering what had happened. I am so sorry it turned out this way. But you have to remember that you did what you thought was best.

What a great ending...you're never gonna believe this one...

When I first introduced myself to this board, for those that read it, I stated that we moved here to help out with my inlaws...one with Alzheimers. Anyway, when we got here, we brought 2 dogs with us. They said it would be ok and no problem...just bring them. Well, after getting here, this backyard was wayyyyy too small. (This is LA) After being here some time, we decided that the best thing to do was to give one up. We walked them everyday, but, one in particular had way too much energy (part border collie) We took her to the shelter and it was pure torture. This was last fall. Anyway....about 2 weeks ago, we were taking our normal morning walk with our dog that we kept and you're never gonna believe this. Walking across the street was our dog that we had given up!!!!! A man was walking her down the street. We couldn't believe our eyes. When we got home, we broke down and started crying. Then, some 10 months later, we knew we had done the right thing. She looked so happy and healthy. Some things in life do end well.

Yes. I know deep down in my heart I had to do it. I think it was the fact that those accusing words came from a child...that really got to me.

Hi Heartburn. I remember your original posts. I am so glad that everything worked out with the dog. That is great. **HUGGS*
