Thank you. I feel I have an obligation to be fair, regardless of the situation, and like was posted earlier, the new employer needs to understand that if I had walked out on them, they would not be happy either. And if they bypass me because of this, well, I will manage, I'll keep looking. There seems to be plenty of jobs available in my field here. So something will turn up sooner or later. Besides, I don't want to screw up my UI if that is what I am going to have to do.

I am in Texas, it is almost 7:00PM here.

I have not heard back from the new employer.

But my conscious (sp) feels good. I think I made the right decision on this. It was moving waaay to fast for my liking.

And I don't want to burn anybody. So... it is what it is.

Update: New employer just emailed me, wants me to start tomorrow. Because one of our employees is on vacation, and I am having to cover for her the next 2 weeks, I had to turn it down.

Don't know if I am shooting myself in the foot or not over this, but it is just too short of a notice. Hope I made the right decision.

Hi BK2008: I was wondering how things were going today. Things will work out by and by. I agree that is just too short of a notice. Good luck.
