"Fun with Dick and Jane"... BK comic relief!

I remember hearing about this movie but I never saw it. It's a riches-to-rags story with Jim Carey and Tea Leone about an executive who loses his job (along with everyone else in an Enron-like corporate implosion). It is hilarious!! Some parts hit a little too close to home to be funny... like the moment where their house is pretty much empty and they realize they have nothing left to sell.

It's a good one to rent, especially for anyone who's experienced those really dark moments during BK where you can't cry anymore and all you can do is laugh.

I saw that too -- years ago and it is really funny! Maybe I'll see if its available to rent...could use some laughs!

OH, Help, I LOVE that movie! We actually bought it when it came out on video a few years ago, and still watch it everytime it pops up on cable. (in fact--just last night it was on, was that when you saw it?). It is definitely great to watch while experiencing this whole bk nightmare...I hope everyone goes out and rents it! "Mercedes OFF ! hahahaha

If you have cable and want to save the cost of renting the movie, it is coming on TBS tonight, in about 40 minutes. 7pm central time. L Last night I picked Jurasic Park. Tonight I am in a Jim Carey mood.

I had one of those moments last week. They had apples in these little brown bags with $1 off coupons stuck to them (I've been buying them this way forever thinking they were the cheapest ones). I scanned my own groceries in the "self check" line and realized that stupid little bag was $11!!!! What a rip off!!

Gone are the days of walking through the grocery store and filling up my cart with whatever looks good...

Yeah, those attached coupons are wonderful little come-ons. It's like bait for fish.
