    Is this a legal bill??

Several days ago I received my cell phone bill in the mail. To my dismay it did not include a listing of the calls I made, just the usual breakdown of all those governmental/regulatory fees, and of course the monthly plan charge.
When I called them they said that they don't include the listing anymore "in order to save on green" - I guess meaning paper. That if I wanted to see the listing I could go online where it would be displayed.
The kicker is that if I really want a paper listing included in my paper bill I would have to fork over $1.99 extra.
This is AT & T Wireless.
Do others here - with different cell phone companies - experience the same?

I have Verizon and I stopped getting detailed lists probably more than 2 years ago. I can access the list online and I don't think I have the option of paying more and getting the information

Welcome to the wonderful world of AT&T, otherwise known as ATtack-And-Terminate. 'Hub's company, NCR, was taken over in an unfriendly stock buyout in the early 1990s by AT&T--long story short--'Hub, along with many other loyal NCR employees got shafted. 'Hub's pension after 34 years with NCR is a paltry $430.00, that barely pays our car payment.

I have AT&T Wireless also and my bill doesn't include the call listing anymore, which is fine with me since it used to be a LOT of pages, and lots of paper! If you want to see the detailed listing you can go view it online. You can also print out the detailed listings if you wish.

Coincidentally, I printed out this month's detailed bill for the first time because I want to send it to the FCC as supporting documentation to a complaint I'm making against a telemarketer who keeps calling and leaving voice mail twice a day, religiously. If I answer, I get a recorded message. Very annoying!!! My number is on the do-not-call list so these jerks have clearly found a loophole. Of course, I'll send the FCC my bill with all other calls/numbers blackened out.

Thanks for all your responses to my original post. The point I was trying to make is that not sending out the call details list but viewable online only people who do not have computers could be getting shafted - no way for them to dispute calls that they did not make.
Credit card companies always detail your cc transactions, the same should apply to cell phone outfits.

We found this problem earlier in the year. When we called to find out why we didn't get a listing of our calls we were told the same thing, they didn't send those out, we could view them online. I still think that's a rip off, but I refuse to pay them 1.99 extra to get that paper copy. We are with AT&T too.

I have sprint, I had to call them and ask them NOT to send the list. I didn't particulary want my hubby browsing through my calls. Not that I have anything to hide, but you kow, a girl needs here privacy.

Is that the same NCR that makes scanner scales? Um, not that I would know or anything, just curious.

                Nice Pension. NOT.

                That really sucks.

I'll go you one better. And I have yet to take care of this cause it has been such a pain in the ass although I was issued a credit the first time I called.

I am getting billed for local calls that I don't even make. When they looked at it, they said that they cannot do anything without sending someone to my house, which of course does not jive with my schedule.

I asked them for a list of these calls and they said I can't get them without a court order..WTF???

The operator (about the fifth one I talked to did say it looked like my line was dialing out intermittantly since I have had literally hundreds of minutes of local calls per month calls that last for less than one minute. I hardly ever even use my lan line.

I hate ATT but unfortunately they took over Pacific Bell in this area. I think I am going to look into Vonage...Anyone have it?
