Senators Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad as well as James Johnson, former advisor to Barack Obama have all come under fire for the "Friends of Mozilo" financing on their homes. All deny knowing they received preferential treatment.

Did you READ THE FACTS or just seen what you wanted?
Well of course I did BOTH, just like the rest of you here. This article, which you repeated, was a guilt-by-association political article, an attack plain and simple. Why don't you look up all the sleazy people McCain has been in bed with over the years, and start a topic about McCain?

Well, at least she has experience handling money. Wealth begets wealth - just think of all the wealthy donors she can tap for Obama's campaign with her contacts. Sounds like an excellent choice. So she's a crooked ex-banker and realtor, is there any other kind?

You all seem to fit the "angry small town white man falling back on their guns and religion" space, as Obama put it. He was referring to West Virginia and rural Pennsyvania at the time, but it applies to most of the Appalachia areas from Pennsylvania to northern Alabama and states east, the historic Scots-Irish settlements, as Pat Buchanan likes to remind us.

Libertarian Anarchy seems to be the government of choice in this topic. Will not work in a country as diverse as the United States. We'd all separate into our little religious and ethnic clans, and it'll be the McCoys and the Hatfields all over the country.

Opinions are still free however, so carry on.
or maybe people are just getting real fed up with being lied to by these politicians that you find so great & holy.

I dont give two cent what obama has to say. He has been caught in many lies continues to decieve people & can stick it up his nose.

Anarchy? you aint seen nothing yet. when the people of the united states finally say enough is enough there is going to be a revolt that makes the hatfields & mccoys look like changing diapers. if the web helps to get the truth out & bring people together to face up, then you cant stop it.

Your obama is a big fat liar just like the others we keep getting & he will be exposed just like the others. He has done nothing to help the people & is quite frankly viewed as a racist due to his fat mouthed wife & religion...& people don't want racism in the white house!

& yes it does extend to all government as they lie to each other, hate each other & will do whatever it takes to get what they want.

I get so tired of seeing it, people who think they are being led to zion when they are being led straight back to egypt.

because the maJORIOTY have become very lazy in their puffed up chairs & pillows, kind of like certain police who sit at the donut shop all night.

they AREN"T doing their jobs (claim no idea) because they dont care. if you can actually find one who cares & every now & then you do find a few who care, then you are doing well.

Yeah, I understand that. Everywhere I go in my neck of the woods I hear from far right individuals that we can't vote for Obama because "we don't want one of those evil Muslims running the country." It's not Obama that thinks being Muslim is bad, it's those far right individuals who are spreading the lies that think that. He's just correcting them by telling them that he is Christian and not Muslim. For the record, I don't think it matters what religion the president is and I would vote for a Muslim if I liked where he stood on the issues that are important to me.

I don't know about holy - I want my senators to keep their religious views out of their job. I said I am satisfied with MY two state senators - and the majority agrees with me since we keep sending them back to Washington DC.

Our state has one Republican senator, Gordon Smith, a Mormon, and one Democrat, Ron Wyden, Jewish. They both cooperate in the Senate and have been good for our state's priorities. Both are progressive, and Smith is even against the Iraq war, one of the first and few Republicans brave enough to publically come out against Bush's war.

Maybe these are the only two good Senators in the Senate - sounds like it according to you. There are a quite a few I'd like to tar and feather before sending them home, but I can't do anything about other States' corrupt politicians.

Your obama is a big fat liar just like the others we keep getting & he will be exposed just like the others.
He isn't "mine". Maybe I'll vote for Ralph Nadar - cause I really want to change the world.

                          .

association? it is his wife, now dont be silly

& yes she is viewed by quite a few as a racist due to her several black skin remarks. she it the one shoving her skin color onto everyone & I am going to shove it right back.

I dont care if he left his church or his wife or if he stays I still would not vote for him, as that does not prove you are still not behind what you supported for 20 years. All it does it toss it under the rug.

your grodon budddy aint no angel either. i dont get you. you seem to think that just because someone holds a title or keeps getting rehired, that makes them some great chief. yes?

even the people in your state are not buying into gordons lies & inconsistency & I wont either. He thinks he can contradict public records!, just like obama & mccain. While I dont blame gordon for everything with all those salmon that died in water diversion, his little puppetmaster Cheney most definately puts him on the coals with the ( I had no idea LIE!) & should be scrutinzed, as i see no difference in that mess or if Sadam sets the oil fields on fire.

why cant you see that these people in power themselves are at each other throats?

just because you think he is great, I can assure you that enough people in your state do not. but the sad part is, not enough people are fully aware yet of what it is really happening in this country & just keep walking blind tapping la la la la down the road.

you should vote for who persuades you the most, as that is the main job of a politician, to convince you to hire him to lead you. I am not arguing that as your right.

only I am not persuaded that easily as I view politicians & leaders as two very distinct & different realities. to find a politician who is a true, honest & genuine leader, with the people in his heart at their best interest, is rare these days.

I suppose what bugs me the most is we keep seeing the same old lines of excuses...

                              "I didn't know."
                              "I pushed the wrong button."
"I didn't mean it like that."

Things are becoming more & more like..."Oh well, it doesnt matter." & "Who cares."

THESE ARE THE VOICES & attitudes OF OUR LEADERS?, TODAY?

I just do not get the complete & utter incompetence in congress these days, just for their own job security.

It is a very sad day when the people you choose as politicians to lead? have to be regulated by the public & the media & the web will continue to expose these people, like it or not.

when the christians are just as evil doing the same exact stuff

that is more or less the real far right & then you get into those holy wars.

so instead we get one of these evil christians BUSH running the country. It is insane these days. In a way it is comical but it is serious too.
